This course is in terrible condition.
I became ill and unable to play after 9 holes. They refused to give a rain check for the last 9 and the reason they said was mainly "because we booked with Golf Now!" But, then they said, they didn't give rain checks anyway! The course condition was poor, also. It was not a good experience.
Course in poor condition, fairways poor, green very poor.
This use to be a fun course to play, great scenery, and fairly good condition. Course is now in poor condition, fairways and greens are being negleted.
Heartless administration of this course. Will never play here, ever.
I got the times through golfnow prior to the trip. Our family came to visit our parents. Unfortunately my father took ill the day before play. He resides at a local skilled nursing facility. I called the course the evening before around 4:30 pm to cancel but received no response but a recorded message. I called at 7 am the next morning and they directed me to golfnow to cancel and appeal for a no charge. The people at Golfnow were very nice and mentioned to me that it was th golf course who refused to no charge despite my explanation of family illness. I went back and forth 3 times until a fellow named Mike at the course said they would charge me anyway. I told him I would pay for one person but given the circumstances it was unfair to charge me for 3. He was inflexible. Very bad experience with these heartless people.
course has great potential, but needs some TLC.
greens not great.. some greens damaged. fairways need water. Bunkers patchy.
Greens in need of a lot of attention - winter kill?
Unfortunately groups of two and three put out behind our foursome so always felt pushed
Course conditions are Improving daily
Tee boxes and fairways are greening up nicely. Some of the greens in less than perfect but the staff is working hard to get them back to what they should. Great views of tje Santa Rita Mountains and as fun place to play golf.
this has a nice layout
We played in under 4 hours which is very good, but you must start early. Some greens had bad spots in them, fairway were rough but playable with perferred lies. I likes the design of the course. I would go back a play it again when the grass comes in later in spring
Fairways and greens coming along fine
The holes (tee's) should be numbered. First time users could be confused------------like we were!!
Course needs work especially the greens
This has been the first time we golfed San Ignacio North (Canoa Hills) this year.. Considering that it was not kepted up all last summer because of closing it wasn't terrible but still needs lot's of work... The fairways are fine but not great..The greens really have a lot of area's that hopefully with another year of TLC will come back..Lot's of burn't area's.. I put in average for the value for your money only because we got a good deal on GolfNow..If you had to pay rack rates I would never play it at this time..
the course is still the same
course needs some TLC! greens are very hard! for $20 and under is good. anything over that is too much!
Great Layout
Course is is in good shape. tight but rewarding if you take chances.
THE WORST golf ever.
Will never play there again. Drive down busy road in poor running cart for a mile or more, holes are not numbered or had any yardage by them. You could not tell where the next hole was. Just the worst golf experience ever, they should pay me to play there.
good shape
I think for what the course has been thru the last 10 mos it is coming back very nicely.
On the day we were to play my wife took sick and I phoned first thing in the morning telling them about the problem. I was told they would be chargin
(cont) charging us regardless. I said we never do such things and offered to get a tee time for rwo days hence. The lady spolke to the head pro who said it did not matter, they would still charge us. Our view of the place is they do not care about their clientele, it's all about the almighty buck. We use Golf now..com all the time and will continue to do so with other courses, but not for San Ignacio North or South. Roo bad because The North course was one of our most favorite.
Nice track, Thin fairway grass, greens need improvement
I played on March 1st, 2013. I have seen improvement in the course conditions, but it needs improvement before I can recommend it. I would not pay the rack rate until there is much improvement. There should be water hazards on several holes, but there is n water. bunkers need sand, fairways are thin and improving, Greens have improved since the last time I played 2 years ago, but not worth rack rate prices.
Fun to play but rough around the edges from being closed down.
Used to be called Canoa Hills. San Ignacio took it over and is working to bring it back to good condition. Nice views from many places around the course.
Poor Condition
Greens not too bad but fairways badly need water. Very patchy grass and hardpan.
very nice layout
most friendly staff I've been around. Course is very fun to play. Can't wait to play there in spring when the trees are in bloom
Greens and fairways finally playable.
Hope that management keeps up the maintenance and continues to bring the courses back to Green Valley standards.
