Course needs TLC
San Ignacio North is the old Canoa Hills. Apparently the water was shut off because the old owners owed 90K. The course was recently sold. Hopefully the new management will give the course the needed TLC. Look foward to seeing this course in the summer of 2013.
PS - You have to go to San Igancio (South) to check in and then drive a cart to the North course.
enjoyed playing the course
We are happy to have the course open again and condition of the course getting better. Condition is good.
Much improved over IRI management.
Some greens and t-boxes need attention.
I don't like picking up at SI-south.....not convenient.
Best layout in GV.
Your "click and drag" doesn't work.
We actually switched courses and played the South course, it is a very good layout
Course is in good shape and it is getting better after a tough summer. Really a enjoyable course to play.
After being pillaged by former owners
New owners/management is doing great things for this course and it's sister course-San Ignacio South. In much better condition than last time we played it in March (snowbirds). Staff is happier and friendlier. Trees lining the fairways are being pruned (yeah) so you're not punished for landing two feet into the rough. Greens are better, too. Just have to level off some of those domed tee boxes.
Under New Management and Totally Restored
The new management has done a great job bring the old "Canoa Hills" back to life. The revised layout is great, greens are still a bit slow but getting better every day. Very soon this, and the south course, will be the best course in Green Valley.
Highly Recommended for everyone.
Fun play
Excellent refurbish; will only improve. Talk about coming back from the dead!!!!
Excellent condition, Lack ofHole signs and course layout major defects
Only issue was lack of signage on the holes resulting in some confusion as to the direction and location of the proper hole at several points on the course.. The course needs more distance markers to help set up the proper club selection for play.
The addition of a ball and club washer on the carts would be a real plus.
This course has a great features
Not sure what is going on with the management of the course, but they need to fix it quickly before it all went bad. I enjoyed playing at the course but my last outing was really bad.
Didn't play it!
I honestly thought I was making a reservation at a course down the street. I was waiting for my Ping i20's to be made and was looking to rent a set of clubs. This course wanted between $12-$15 dollars for a 20+ yr old set of copies and didn't offer any kind of discount once I showed my discuss of the equipment.
If you plan to travel to this great golf Mecca without clubs, then I'd suggest the course up the street with the very similar name. They have newer Nike clubs and both times I've played there they've given them to me for free.
it is not in good shape
for the money they want it is not worth playingthe fairways are dried out the greens had big dead spots
