Wigwam Resort - Blue Course
About
The Wigwam Resort possesses three 18-hole courses, the Blue Course, the Red Course, and the Gold Course. All three courses were built on a rolling terrain with mature creeks sprinkled throughout and meandering creeks running through, which can all affect shots. The Blue Course is the shortest of the three courses but Blue plays long due to the elevated greens. The creeks create water hazards that come into play on several holes and there are also many strategically placed sand bunkers throughout the course as well. The Wigwam Resort facility has various practice facilities including a chipping area and putting green.

Solid conditions, excessively FAST greens
Everything was great about wigwam, as usual, but the greens very excessively fast and pin locations were brutal - constantly on slants and ridges. I enjoy a challenge but this seemed unnecessary.
Overall a good day
My only complaint about the course was how hard the greens were. Everything hit and rolled off the back, which due to the elevated greens was a problem! Never even found a ball mark to repair during the whole round! Never saw the cart girl on the front nine and that’s when I remembered that there isn’t a turn! I called the clubhouse and we saw her within 10 minutes. The wind picked up a lot in the back, which really made some holes challenging. After playing all three courses here, I think I like the Red course the best.
Nice but a very tight course.
Course is in extraordinary shape. Really a tight course, with small greens, enjoyable round.
Excellent Course
This was our first time golfing at Wig Wam. The course was in excellent condition and great course Maintenance. The price was also cery good for what you get.
Too many kids and no ranger
Course itself is in great shape. Greens, fairways and boxes. For whatever reason, on this Sunday there were a large number of kids (young teens) out on the course. We had a group of 8 of them behind us, shouting back and forth to each other as we tried to tee off/shoot. They eventually ended up in our fairway coming up from the other direction and showed no consideration for getting out of our way or moving quickly (walked slowly the entire length of our fairway as we waited to hit our second shots once they passed). On 11, we ran into a group of 3 small children (and their parents) who came from no where - hadn’t seen them all day. The kids were very good, but when you drop a group in the middle of play, it slows things down significantly. We sat on each hole 15-20 minutes waiting to tee off, before eventually giving up on the round after 14 holes, all in all which made for what have should have been a very beautiful day, very disappointing (and expensive - I had my dad and 11 year old along on my tab). A ranger could have helped move things along.
Pro shop
Lady in the pro shop dropped 2 F bombs, talking to another employee. Younger guy helping us was very friendly and helpful.
Good job
Even though the driving range was closed due to the event taking place still great.
Nice fun course
We had fun as a twosome. We were paired with a father son combo. Had a good time. There was a 45 minute frost delay. Looked like they were doing a pretty job of making it work.
Greens are too protected by bunkers for average golfers
I would recommend this course with reservations. It is very challenging to hit the small protected greens. The course was in good shape. Fairways are large and sand traps were well maintained. Staff was friendly and welcoming.
Wigwam Blue Course
Beautiful weather and great course conditions and played in 3.5 hours.
Blue Course is in Great Shape
Conditions were almost perfect, with Cart Path Only restrictions to be limited by the end of this week. Tee boxes fairly level; fairways freshly cut, greens were very good, with reasonable speed; rough was tall and thick; sand traps could use some attention, breaking up surface and adding sand in low spots. Pace of play was excellent (no one in front of us, with an 11am start), as was the value. Definitely worth the 1 hour drive from the east side.
First Time on Blue Course
Fairly challenging from blue or black tees. Courses is unusual with 6 par threes, but they were all different. Plenty of room and generous fairways. Greens were still fuzzy from overseeding. Cart path only this week do to overseeding just maturing.
Great course fast paced. Played 18 in just under 3 1/2 hours. Still cart path only.
Was a so so this time
I rated my experience a 3 star this time due to various little things which made it a frustrating round. I was the first one off on the Blue course. There was an older couple behind me that would not play through when I offered it to them, but kept on my heels so much that I skipped 2 par 3's to try to create some space between us. The bad part is that I was on pace for an under 3hr round on my own! SMH Next was the grounds crew! They usually would stop their mowers or movements for golfers shots, but not on this day!! The only one who did stop was the young person who was setting up the greens. I'll never book early again if thats how it is.
