Wigwam Resort - Red Course
About
The Red Course (formerly known as Heritage Course) at the Wigwam Resort, which has received acclaim from Golf Magazine, is one of three 18-hole courses at the resort. Built on rolling terrain, the course features elevation changes that can affect shots. Mature trees are also scattered throughout to add beauty and another challenging element. Winding creeks form water hazards that come into play on a few holes. The Red Course is popular among locals familiar with the Wigwam Resort because it is considered to have the three best finishing holes in the area. Although walking is allowed on the other two courses, carts are required on the Red Course.

Fairly Forgiving Course
Actually got teamed up with a couple guys I golfed with a couple years ago. Small world. The Red course is pretty wide open. Recovery shots are fairly easy. Lots of space between trees. Greens were very quick. Extremely windy the day I played. The last par 5 was a bit challenging. It was hard to figure out where to aim, even on the second shot.. I ended up with a dbl bogey. They could probably use something a little better than painted bricks for tee markers, that looked a little cheesy, but it's worth a play
Fair to Average course and conditions. Delay in tee time by over an hour resulted in us barely finishing before dark, with no adjustment in green fees.
Closing holes are gimmicky. Course is in average condition. Value for money wasn't great.
Too pricey for the condition
I like playing rhe Red course at the Wigwam. The greens were rolling nice. The fairways were a little shoddy and not what you would expect for the price they are charging right now. Golf prices in general have gotten way out of hand in the Valley.
Great course
First time playing Wigwam. Course was in great shape and our threesome finished in under 4 hours. Will definitely be back.
Always a favorite when I am in the area
Wigwam is a top shelf golf experience from staff, to course layout and condition. My favorite is the Red course…maybe be cause I love the challenge always seem to play well.. Gold is a monster of a course with length and challenge, but I feel plays shorter than the yardage. Not played Blue much due to short yardages.
Nice course and good value with Hot Deal
Course was in great shape but tee times were all backed up because of frost delay in morning. Not the fault of the Wigwam. They did a good job of trying to get groups out as quick as they could. Will play again.
Red course great shape
The course was in excellent shape, with the greens rolling true
Love the Wigwam red
We played at 1 and got in before it got cold. Good time to play. Good greens.
Wigwam red is a challenging but satisfying coarse
Love the wigwam. I do wish the half way house had hot dogs all the time. Not 1 left. Not sometimes. Not in 10 min but all the time. You’d sell more!
Bring a snack.
Pleasant Track
Layout is kinda messed but the atmosphere with all the palms and other greenery somewhat makes up for it. The fairways are cut super tight which, when combined the wet and muddy conditions, make for difficult ball striking. I found hitting out of the Bermuda rough much easier on the hands.
A Pleasure
Wig Wam is a pleasure to play. Always warm and welcoming.
Rec golf
If you can grab a hot deal this course is well worth it. 50 bucks.... I saw reg tee times for 110? It is pretty plain Jane there is definitely plenty of options out there.
