Falcon Golf Club
About
Located near the Estrella and White Tank Mountains, the Falcon Golf Club is an affordable, user-friendly course with an interesting layout. The front nine has a target-style layout with a desert landscape while the back nine has a more traditional design. The greens are medium-sized with a subtle break and the fairways are wide open. Water hazards come into play on two holes and there are numerous bunkers as well, especially on the back nine. The signature hole of the golf course is the par-3, fifth hole. This notable hole has water to the right of the green and bunkers on the front right and left. With its location just south of Luke Air Force Base, fighter jets are regularly seen flying over Falcon Golf Club.

A great round
Played Saturday morning 730 got there and they had a shotgun start tournament at 8 o’clock they know how to run a tournament we still finished in 3 1/2 hours. Course is in great shape. Nobody in the group had any complaints we will be back.
Great Turf - Great Price
Starter - John. - courteous and friendly.
Suggest the course could. use a touch-up; one-day and a couple gallons of paint (green 4x4 tee number posts), and ball-washers; and a spray-wash and couple gallons of armor-all for touching up the golf carts; a few fence posts around the club-house to repair, etc. You can jump from a full-star and add a $1 to every green fee. A little spit and polish can go a long way. Thanks, W
Good value
Good value but you have to like seeing and hearing the fighter jets from Luke AFB which is next to the course.
Fair to middling
The course starts with a pretty full group moving forward and a full parking lot. A small clubhouse that has the basics and that it about it. Still, it does provide the basics. Problem is only one person is running everything so he is moving quick from one register to the other. The course is in good shape for a muni but not much more. Fairways are acceptable and most sand traps have s9me sand in them, which is good. The greens are slow but manageable. Biggest problem is their love of long par 3s. 205, 180, 170 and 205. All from the whites not the blues. This slows down the flow of people as people are stuck finding missed balls in the water or in the junk because they can’t get their in two. The result is another 4 plus or 5 hour round. Move the white tees up to 150 and it will make a huge difference especially on 18. We have 3 groups waiting on 18 because of the length and difficulty of this whole. Move the tees back and make a short par 4 or move them forward but change it. Except for this which results in slow play it is not a bad set up. You have to endure the noise of the F16,s landing and taking off on 15 and 16th...need ear plugs but the opportunity to watch is worth it.
Good Course, Poor Pace of Play
Tee time was delayed by nearly 30 minutes due to pace of play. No course Marshall was present, and as a result many groups would play more than 1 ball and take too long. Took 4 hours to play 11 holes.
Worth the trip
Some holes are challenging with strategic placed bunkers. Greens were slow, but they are not flat so you'll be tested. I think the greens had been worked on earlier (months ago) and have not fully recovered; that being said, you will still appreciate the challenge of them.
Great improvment
Ive ben playing this course the last 11 yrs and must tell you the new owners have made great improvements to the course condition! Best I've ever seen it! and their new men's club is vibrant with a bunch of fun guys. I play twice a week there and planning on playing more as the weather cools.
Great shape
Fairways and greens were in great shape. Nice driving range and chipping area.
Fun track
I read a lot of reviews of this course before booking a last tee time and I have to say there isn't that much to complain about. The tee boxes are all in great shape, the fairways are pretty lush, and the greens are about 8.5/10 as of May 26,2019. Yes the bunkers are dry, but its a links style course and with the wind there's not much they can do to soften them up without charging the weekend warriors more money or by making the course more difficult. Ill be back out again for sure!
Spring Weekday
Great hospitality during checkin and at the snack bar.
Course has obviously been played hard this past winter; but even so, the greens were in very good shape and ran true. The course was a little dry - hard greens and rolling fairways, links-style fairways where bunkers for off-line drives can bite you. Good tee-boxes, gas-powered cart, and generally wide open fairways. Sand traps; 80% without sand, hard-pan release. A quick 2 hour 15 min round for 2-persons. 62 year old 15 handicap golfer off the white tees; a number of birdie-putts today; the greens are very reachable; will play the blues/blacks next time. Overall, a nice round for $25.
Quickly becoming my go to
I like to get around to a variety of courses but when I just want to get a round in this is becoming my go to spot. You can’t beat the price and the course is in good shape. Super fun layout. The staff go the extra mile and make sure we have a good time. My 10 year old is getting into the game and the course sets up nice for her also. Always a pleasure to play here. We will return again and again.
Good course for the price
Not overly challenging and not long but in good shape and the price is right to keep the swing in focus.
