Robert Trent Jones Jr. designed Las Sendas Golf Club's course, opened in 1995 and among the toughest U.S. courses. Two Zagat surveys have ranked it among the top 50 U.S. golf courses. Las Sendas Golf Club offers a desert course demanding top play as it takes golfers through the Usery Mountains, with a vista of Phoenix as the tradeoff for managing rough land close to 1,800 feet above the desert. Jones didn't create a course with whimsical decorations like railroad ties, and he didn't build targets. The golf course is for those who strategize, mapping the way from tee to green. After a round at Las Sendas Golf Club, head to Las Sendas Grille, for the full bar, including wines from California, Australia and Europe, as well as four tap beers and domestic and imported bottles.

Great round again

I had another very enjoyable round at Las Sendas with my Wife this morning. The entire staff is always helpful and the course is in great condition. Met a couple of really nice people to share the round and we finished in about 4 hours and 20 minutes. Never pushed, never waited to hit. Fun day and nice course!

Horrible Golfing Conditions

As a fellow Calgarian I’m embarrassed of the condition of this course. There are countless areas around greenside bunker’s and in the middle of fairways and around fairway bunkers that need to be completely re-sodded! Dig it up ASAP........Lakeside is probably in better shape back home.

The driving range Deck looks like a mine-field as do the T decks through the course. They are in horrible shape.

It is so sad because It is probably the best Robert Trent Jones Junior design in the valley.......it has such great site lines from the tee......good green undulations and excellent bunkering which all require precise shotmaking throughout the round. I really enjoy the design of the course. But current management need to put some money into it.

I have played a lot in the valley throughout the years and really enjoy courses such as Camelback Ambiente, Verrado, Wildfire, Boulders etc...... I haven’t been out to Las Sendas for five years but I’m glad I haven’t. You can play most of the premier courses in the off-season for the same amount of money and play 1000% better conditions.

I have no idea what course the previous reviewer‘s have been playing giving it a 4-5 Star ratting in the last couple months but they obviously are not getting out to decent courses?

Leaving on a positive........ the greens were ok

Everyone is entitled to their opinion! We are very happy that the majority of our customers appreciate the work and effort that goes into providing a "World Class" facility both in the summer and winter. Management remains the same since acquisition in 2009. 2018 represents the best year to date with the most rounds played. We also have the highest rating and customer feedback in the East Valley! Thank you for your comments,

Hot and Thirsty

We play this course every year, because it is beautiful and challenging. This year was the worst experience, due to the lack of amenities. There were next to no staff available , no drink cart, no open snack bars only a sign on the snack bar at the club house directing golfers to go up to the bar/grill if they needed anything. I guess you get what you pay for, we got the round at a really cheap price for this course, but beware fellow golfers if you play in the summer, bring a sandwich and lots of your own drinks.

Slow Pace

If you want slow pace of play with a "ranger" who won't do anything to help, this is your place! We played behind a group that was 2 holes behind the next group, but the "ranger" refused to do his job because they were "on pace for 4 hours 30 minutes". Somehow the entire effort of the USGA to speed the game up has been totally missed at this club.

Slow

Started on the 10th. Backed up. More sitting than golfing. And at 107’, it made for a very long 9 holes. We golfed 13 holes and called it quits. Very nice course with great people working there. Just WAY to slow of play.
