Good value
This course is big enough for those of us that are not long hitters and trickiy enough for those who are. It is very popular in the winter hence the compaints of slow play. The reason it is crowded is it is a good value with many specials, it is in as good a condition as most courses in the winter in arizona. Putting is challenging but i find that complaint every course I play. Putting is just a crapshoot on winter rye. There has been a staff change this year and the staff are nice and helpfull———all of them. If I really have to dig up a negatve it would be frost delays when other courses are not on the same day. They seem a little cautious about that. That makes some days a little slow, but at least they send you an email advisory
Good executive coarse
Good executive coarse. There are doing tee boxes upgrade.
Challenging
Played 18 holes. I've played this course a few times lately and it's become one of my favorites.
Great conditions
Played a fantastic game. Course was in great condition. Always a good time, will continue to frequent this course.
Better than ever
We've played Desert Sands for at least 6 years and each season it gets better and better! Ryan and staff ha e the course in fantastic shape, the pro shop has a great new layout and the Slackware serves up yummy foods!! Beverage cart makes it easy to sip a cold one! 😉
Friendly staff
Pro shop staff and starter were very friendly and accommodating. Even got out earlier then our tee time. Greens are tough as very hilly. Pace of play was very good. Overall a good experience.
Enjoyed but not impressed
Good for the price which saved the cost of a course ranger. If there had been one we could have played easily in 3.5 hours.
Best Executive course I ever played
8 par threes and the par 4's were very short as well as the one par 5, but it was later out well.
