Superstition Springs Golf Club
The East Valley's Superstition Springs Golf Club offers one of Arizona's most testing layouts, measuring over 7,000 yards, with a slope rating of 130. Golf course architect Greg H. Nash designed the course and worked with the landscape already in place to provide the abundant mounding, wide bunkers and good-looking but tough-playing water features.
By the time he had finished with the Superstition Springs Golf Club, Nash had created a golf course that Golfweek called one of America's Best Golf Courses.
After - or before - a round of golf at the Superstition Springs Golf Club, hit up the restaurant for breakfast, lunch or drinks either inside or on the patio, which overlooks the golf course's signature hole, the ninth.

hole 16 was not funky
A lot of funky holes. All grass course, no views, tiny raised greens with hazards all around. Front 9 pretty funky layout.. ok pace except back 9 really bogged down around 15. 4 groups backed up on 17... Nice people, but course maintenance falling behind...
Course was in very good condition ion most holes. Greens were a little slow and patrons were not fixing ball marks as they should. Day was busy and there were no extra golf carts. To their credit they provided them just in time and we got off at the right time. Parking was the worst. Not enough spaces to accommodate patrons.
Very good experience
Course was in very good shape. For some reason, golfers in Phoenix refuse to fix their ball marks as every course I played was riddled with unrepaired ball divots. However, despite this the greens were in good condition and the course layout is very nice requiring a variety of different clubs off the tee and challenging approach shots.
Plan for over 5 hours
Nice course only negative was pace of play and in over 5 hours only seen Cart person once???
Fun and unique layiut
Hadn’t played here before and was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the unique layout. Challenging holes. The greens were pretty small. Everything was in great shape. Will definitely be back
Course was in great shape
Superstition springs is always a great deal and reasonably priced. The greens were great and the course was in pretty good shape. I always enjoy playing there with the wonderful views, friendly staff and the course is always very playable
Tricked up nonsense, worst bunkers in valley, nice people
Any course where you hit a mid-iron off the tee on 3 different par 4s is tricked up nonsense. Course is conceptually geared around bunkers and undulations, which in and of itself is fine. However, the bunkers are rock hard with no sand. It is unconscionable to design a course around its hazards, and then the bunkers are totally unplayable. It completely ruins rounds.
Course has great lay out
Greens are kinda beat up lots of ball marks. Sad part someone was eating sun flower seeds and spitting them out on green. No respect for other. Over all course is fun to play.
Starter was great as we teed off 70 minutes late which was because of early morning frost delay. Front nine took over 2. 5 hours which was not good. Back nine we did in a little over 2 hours. Had played this course many numerous times over the past 35 years. Course in good condition with the exception of sand traps that are not very good ! We had no contact with any course marshal regarding slow play. Great course for those golfers that play lots as it's challenging.
Fun layout with ample challenge
Conditions are a little rough around the edges but the fairways and greens are in reasonable shape. We played off the tips and that provides a good test. Lots of character holes. The shape of the greens and tight pin locations demanded accurate approaches. This track will demand good touch around the greens. I find the fun factor high. Definitely not a bland layout.
nice course slow play
greens are in as good as shape as you can find on most courses down here now. No Marshall so the 4 some ahead of us was just about always a hole behind and it took over 4;45 mins. to play 18 holes. Like the course the small greens make it challenging with the shorter distance.
Terrible round of golf
Will be our last round there. The course is not well maintained but the worst part was they had a stag party group of about 16 men who were clueless golfers with no etiquette who got very drunk and held us up every step of the way. The cart staff continued to provide them liquor very frequently without consideration for how this was panning out for the rest of us on the course. At $55 fee it was a real waste of money.
