About
The East Valley's Superstition Springs Golf Club offers one of Arizona's most testing layouts, measuring over 7,000 yards, with a slope rating of 130. Golf course architect Greg H. Nash designed the course and worked with the landscape already in place to provide the abundant mounding, wide bunkers and good-looking but tough-playing water features.
By the time he had finished with the Superstition Springs Golf Club, Nash had created a golf course that Golfweek called one of America's Best Golf Courses.

Got in 18
Had a good time and was able to get in 18 at the reduced price in the afternoon. 1:20 tee time
1st time playing here - will be back.
1st time playing here - will be back. Would not pay more than $70 US. Had recently rained so they were not able to cut the tee boxes etc which is understandable. Couple of interesting holes you need to play once or twice to understand. 18th hole is really pretty to look at from the tee box. Will look to buy their player card - appears to offer good value.

A bit too difficult for me.I just came from MN the day before and hadn't played for months.

Golf cart GPS
This was brutal today….had to push the cart multiple times in areas that were less than a foot away from the fairway.

We appreciate your feedback and want you to know our team works diligently to prepare the course for play following periods of rain. Due to our presence in a flood basin, our low lying areas will hold water for a few days following rain in the are. We will look to better direct guests away from these areas on days like these.
Scottsdale trip
Staff was very friendly when greeting us from the bag drop to the starter. Pace of play was pretty slow and there didn’t seem to be any rangers doing anything about it. Between a par 4 & 3, there was 5 groups waiting. The ranger said it will loosen up. But, it didn’t. We waited on every hole.

This course was fun and challenging
Water, slants, little grade changes, and landing areas require you to play this course a few times to successfully feel comfortable. Every staff member of this course was extremely friendly all the way to when they were closing. They made my first experience here at the course very enjoyable!

Poor value
Frost delay and no notice prior to tee time. Pace of play was brutally slow. Waited on every hole. Better value elsewhere Won’t be back.

Delayed
We had a 12:12 Teetime. Didn’t start playing until 1:45. Only got 16 holes in do to darkness. Disappointed no rain check for coarse issues of over booking

Coarse to difficult
This public coarse is far too difficult for the average golfer. Any honest golfer who can break 100 on this course would be around 15 Handicap . Unfortunately the average honest golfer is around 23.
The difficulty creates frustration, loss of interest, damage to coarse and slow play.

Fun layout, friendly staff
The only disappointing thing (other than a cold morning) was the condition of the course where the drainage canal runs. I know it's not SSGC's fault, just the way the water runs after rain. The change in elevation and water areas were nice, but the garbage that gets left from the drainage is an unfortunate happening. I'm sure that is frustrating for course management. As far as everything else, it was a great experience from when we got there to eating in the restaurant.

Hackers United
First time playing this course. Challenging short course with small greens that were well protected. Pace of play could have been a little better. The marshall didn't seem to motivate the slow group in front of us. Three groups on the tee more than once. I would like a do over.
