Tough fairways, but great, fast greens that roll true
Tough conditions, but still fun to play. Best putting greens in Southern Arizona.

Good to be back.
After years of being closed this course is finally open. Fairways were a little rough at times, greens were ok. I expect the course to get better with time. Has the potential to be one of the best courses in southern AZ, just needs a little love and support. Will be coming back for more.

Great layout
Just coming off closure need to lose more grass but overall good play
WHEN OPEN...IT'S A FUN COURSE!!!
The course is worth playing when open, but since it closed in mid May or so, and will, or may, reopen in September or so, it's difficult to review. My comment is really if the course is closed, then why send out a review option???
So I remain "closed" in my comments on Kino Springs.

This course has closed mid-May until mid-Oct......how stupid is that? I ran golf clubs for 40 yrs, the owners at Kino are trying to prove what? Why don't you guys just unload the place if you cant run it for more than 8 mo's/yr? The greens are really good, the rest of the fairways and traps are a cow pasture. Kino suffers from lack of equipment, know-how, experience and leadership. All the decent players are gone, they dont leagues or outings...it's just a nothing place anymore with no future. It's going the same way that Rio Rico Golf Club did when they ruined it.

Course is Showing Some Pain
The greens were in very good condition, putted well albeit they were slower than they looked. Tee boxes and fairways are showing stress. It appears that a lack of watering is very evident, which was the problem over a year ago when the course closed down for a few months. Hopefully this is not a repeat of the water problems and issues. This layout is challenging with the inner 9 holes outstanding with views that can't be beat. Hopefully the course will get the attention it needs to maintain its overall appeal.
Fairways haven't been watered... Course drying out fast (greens are ok)
Played today and was really sad to see how the fairways have dried out (and it's not even summer yet). It looks like they will probably close for the summer again (like last year) and have started the slow process of letting it go for as long as they can with as little money put in as possible.
It's a shame that the City of Nogales doesn't support them with the water bill issue so that they can keep the place in tip top shape like they did during the winter months..

Course could be a lot better (or worse) - its ok
After having closed down for the summer last year, the course reopened in the fall and has been open since. Most of the fairways and tee boxes are in good shape. About 5 or 6 of the greens have issues with patches missing or bumpy. From a value standpoint its a good deal (especially compared to Tubac's almost $100 rates in peak season). Hope they keep the course up as the summer months roll in.

We love going down to Kino. The Views are fantastic, usually lots of wildlife, the course is very challenging, staff is great. Just a fun filled day!

Once again, very disappointed. Keith plus staff are ruining what was a very well kept course. Fairways not mowed, greens the worst I have seen in 5 years...many with bumps and chunks of turf not filled in. Since this is just a "write off" business, they are not spending any money to do anything! Fertilizer, weed control, clothing to sell, food and beverage, carts, proper green care....makes us angry and they lost our 40 man group. We have reviewed before, nothing happens. Just sell the place and close it down if you dont care to make it as good as you can. Anybody that thinks this course is "nice" must be in another world.
