North Palm Beach Country Club
About
North Palm Beach Country Club is situated on the Intracoastal Waterway atop the Seminole Ridge, offering scenic views and a rolling terrain covered with natural oak hammocks. The golf course is one of only two municipal courses in the country that are Jack Nicklaus Signature courses. It has received much acclaim for being not only one of the best public golf courses in Florida, but also one of the best publics in the U.S. There are rolling fairways and undulating greens, many of which are fiercely guarded by bunkers. Although a bevy of challenges has been built into the course, flexibility was also incorporated into the design with five sets of tees. North Palm Beach Country Club offers playability to a range of skill levels but from the back tees it is a formidable challenge to even the most advanced golfers.

Not worth the price
Overpriced considering the course conditions, bunkers were in very poor condition, layout is fun, greens are challenging
Terrible Rangers
This is the third time I've played this golf course and although it's a nice and challenging layout, my last two experiences have been spoiled by an over zealous and obnoxious ranger. On both occasions the ranger kept harassing us to speed up play saying that we had to finish in the stipulated 4 hours and 8 minutes. Whilst I respect they want to keep pace of play moving as not to hold up the field, on both occasions we weren't holding up any groups behind us. In fact this past Saturday when I last played there, the group behind us was an entire hole behind yet the ranger insisted we skip a hole because we were 16 minutes behind. When we told him we were not holding up the field, had a 73 year old in our group who could not move any faster even if he tried, and were playing in a tournament which generally takes longer, he responded that he didn't care, the course policy was 4 hours and 8 minutes not matter what the circumstances. No question this type of attitude flows from the top down so it speaks volumes about the management. What the place needs is to utilize some common sense. If a group is behind the stipulated pace of play and is holding up the field, ok enforce the policy. But if not, why ruin a customers unnecessarily? Make sure your guests know your policy before checking in and taking their money, like posting it on the board for all to see. Also, tell them, ahead of time if they fall behind the stipulated pace of play they'll risk not been able to play the full 18 holes or having the cops come and remove them from the course as was the case this past Saturday when we refused to skip a hole. Who needs this kind of experience when there are so many other choices around.
Great Redesign, Need a walking rate
I am not a big fan of Nicklaus designs but I really enjoyed what he did with NPBCC. Course remains walkable and unique, taking advantage of the ridge that always gave the course it's character. Green speed were a bit inconsistent but overall conditioning was great and pace of play was even better.
My only gripe is that they charged full cart price even for walkers. $53 to walk on a Monday afternoon is a good price for the course, but with a mandatory $26.50 cart fee charged even if you walk the course, the $79.50 is a bit steep. Given that this is one of the few walkable designs in the area, it would seem to make a lot of sense to have a walking rate (which they apparently do but refuse to give out as the receipt split the GF into a $53 charge for midday GF and $26.50 for a cart we didn't use) at least on weekdays/afternoons.
Great course for the money
I really enjoyed playing this course. I was by myself and was asked if I would play with a couple by the starter.
There is plenty of room to use your driver even if you don't hit it straight every time and still plenty of bunkers, trees, and water in play to keep it interesting. One of the big draws for me is that several holes play along the waterway.
One interesting fact that I didn't know until it happened is that your ball doesn't always fall out of the trees here.
The greens were smooth and true and the course was very fun to play.
I highly recommend this course.
Great course. Challenging and fair
Course was in good shape. Played on a Saturday and it was a full tee sheet but finished in 4 1/4 hrs. Course is challenging but fair. Always gives you options. Great Jack Nicklaus course. My wife and I will play it again.
Good value
Great value for a Nicklaus designed course. Obviously suffers from a lack of manicuring but the layout is nice and the course challenging but fair. Would definitely come back again for another nice morning of golf.
Exceptionnel
J'ai passé un moment exceptionnel.en bonne compagnie
Sur un des plus beaux terrains de la Floride
Avec un service de qualité
A revivre
Great S. Florida course. Reminds me of a Nothern links layout.
Greens are large and fast be in position to the flags with your approach-also some false fronts (thanks Jack). My favorite course in Palm Beach.
Golf now not welcomed
Great course. Will test the best putters. Great views. Awesome track. But you are not treated warmly at all as a golf now guest. They let other groups ahead of us because they were full price or members then let us go After our scheduled Time. A foursome of ladies walking went ahead of us and we had to skip a hole to play around. They wouldn't let us play through. Not friendly at all. So be prepared.
North Palm Beach-4/10/15
Golf course in great shape. Always a challenge and a very enjoyable round of golf.
Excellent !!
This golf course is excellent in all point, it is beautifull, challenging, fun to play.
The greens are difficult and the pins placement also.
I have enjoyed my day !
A great muni in the center of West Palm Beach Gardens
I was initially unimpressed with the muni appearance. The course has a very small pro shop and the driving range reeked of "muni." Golfer's attire was fitting for a muni and not a "high end daily fee" course which is what NPB CC really is. The course is terrific. While the facilities are average, the layout, conditions, and challenging holes offer golfers a great test and memorable round. It is slightly more expensive than other options, but entirely worth the cost. It does lack a "country club" or "daily fee" feel as it truly is a municipal course but Nicklaus outdid himself with a unique layout and course. I highly recommend this course. It should be rated 4.5 stars.
best public course
one of the top public course of the palm beach area
a little bit expensive for a public golf course
overall I had a great round of golf
it is a good challenge of golf
you can alway's play without reservation
I will go back any time, when i am in the region
A challange for all.
It was a great day on a very nice course. The greens are a challenge with all the undulations. The staff were cordial. I found the driving range a bit ragged but that did not lessen a very fine experience.
Great time!
This course is one the better conditioned courses in the area. The fairways actually have grass on them. You pay for what you get. The higher prices keeps the hackers away. I would be willing to pay more for a better course and this fits the description. The staff was great and the pace of play was good! I will continue to come here while I can.
Awesome course
Amazing course design.. A little tough, but fair. The course fairways are little worn out, and the cart Gps keeps the cart away from the greens way too far.. The course design is amazing, took lots of pictures! :)
Nice, but to much $$$
Everything about this course was good, except the greens fee, overpriced. Fee should be about $70-$80
Enjoyable layout
Enjoyed the day. Play moved around fairly well as we were just 3 players.
Course conditions were rough around the edges but good for course that was very dry and heavily travelled.
Nice lay out! Nice young people providing service.
