Club West Golf Club
The Club West Golf Club offers 18 holes on a Brian Whitcomb-designed golf course that was originally built in 1993 and measures 7,142 yards from the championship tees on a par-72 golf course.
Club West Golf Club claims the 17th as its signature hole. It features double-greens, tees elevated 100 feet above the course and vistas of South Mountain and of the Estrella Mountain Range; players ought to pick the green they desire and then check the yardage. If the wind isn't blowing you back, pick one less club than usual, aim right and swing smoothly.
After the round, head over to the Club West Golf Club's clubhouse, which is the gorgeous home of the Lakeside Grille, which serves breakfast and lunch inside the stunning dining room or on a spacious patio featuring a fireplace and lake view.

I booked Frei’s course and was suspended to see so many open tee times for a Sunday afternoon. When my friend and I got there we discovered 6 cars in the parking lot, the clubhouse locked up, and burnt out fairways and dirt greens on the 9th and 10th holes. There was a starter who refused to take our money because the course was in such bad shape. The water had been shut off for the previous 4 weeks and almost no employees were there. I felt bad for my partner who drove 30 miles to get to this bankrupt course. GolfNow needs to show this course as closed. Terrible!
Course conditions unplayable
This once outstanding course has been decimated since their entire watering systems had been turned off for over 45 days with no resolution in the near future. If their water bill dispute is resolved, it will take months for this course to recover and regain it former appeal. I highly recommend not attempting to play this course under these current deplorable conditions. The Golfnow course alert Will not open to reveal these conditions. Bear in mind, there is no available restrooms or restaurant services at this time.
A total disgrace
This golf course should be eliminated from anyone's plans to play golf. Absolutely no water, on the fairways, greens, no restroom facilities at all. Like one of the dust bowl picture from the depression era. Talked with Golf Now customer service and they doing what they can to drop the couse completely. Good idea.
Third world country post apocalypse
Never seen anything like it. No people there other than a couple staff, no beverages or food to purchase, bone dry all over the course from what we saw, no water and NO RESTROOMS ANYWHERE. The wife was just thrilled we drove across town to play this gem. Read some articles after leaving and the new owner hasn't paid water bill... blah blah blah. Take this course off the app, consider it closed, at least for the foreseeable future.
Once the wait time on hold isn't 45 min I'll be requesting a refund... As per recommended by various staff members.
No bathrooms. No water. No restaurant no bar. No Nothing No notice!! I will be seeking a refund or credit from Golfnow!
Everything dead! No water for a month.
Golf Now should remove this course from their listings.
For Golf Now to have this as a course is a travesty
They have quit watering at this course. i was told the owner refused to pay the bill. Everything is brown and dead. A guy walked by and asked "how does it feel to play on a pasture and he was right. I contacted Golf Now and hey just sent me a link to the course review. What a joke
Club West in Disarray
The city turned off the water as they hadn’t paid bills in several months was the story I was told. The clubhouse and restaurant were closed. There was only a skeleton crew on hand. No water available and no drink carts. The fairways were dry as a bone and the greens were mostly brown and rock hard. All in all, it was a disaster.
Played here in Jan.after new owners took over.Course was in best shape I have ever seen. Now,they haven't watered it in a month or so.The greens are mostly dirty This course should be CLOSED.The employees were still very friendly and apologetic for the shape of the course.Called GN and rec.some compensation.
This course had its water supply cut off and there is no irrigation. Course is completely brown. Too bad. Layout is fine.
Don't Go There
The course isn't being watered.
The fairways are like hard-pan with almost no grass.
The greens are brown and pitted.
No restrooms are available on the course.
No water is available on the course
This was our first time playing at Club West. Prior to our round the staff member in the temporary pro shop informed us the course has been having a water issue. Apparently the owner failed to pay the water bill and therefore there is no water to groom the course. Furthermore there were no restroom facilities available on the course due to not having water. There was absolutely no grass on any of the fairways or greens. It was impossible to putt on the greens due to the lack of grass. I am not exaggerating when I say no grass. There was just little tufts of green all over the greens. After nine holes we enquired if the course was offering any type of compensation being given to customers due to the horrible conditions. We were told that we would have to deal with Golf Now as we had paid them on line. After finishing our round we attended at the clubhouse to use the restrooms. We found the restaurant had closed at 2 PM. and a female informed us there are no restroom facilities right now because of the water situation. This course should not be open until such time as it is brought back to a playable condition . Golf Now should remove this course from their website until the problem is rectified. To say we were ( ticked off) is putting it mildly. I certainly am not feeling like a V.I.P. member of Golf Now and will re-assess if I will renew again.
Course is in dire need of being watered.
Was told that the course was sold. And the water bill was not paid.
Hopefully will be good in a month or two. But very dry at the moment.
Not often I write bad reviews but this course should be closed down. Course has not seen water for 4 weeks and it shows with brown fairways and greens. Some tee boxes were bare with no live grass at all. Almost impossible to stop balls on the greens and probable 3 putts or more once you are on. To have such a previously beautiful course turn into this is an absolute shame.
Take this course off of golfnow!
This place is in terrible condition. No watering taking place. Quit after 9 gruelling holes. Staff was cool about it and took $10 off but they should be paying people to play there. Not taking their money for a course that isn't advertised properly on golfnow. Should have been a huge advisory warning!!
Worst course ever
The course conditions were terrible. All the grass is dry and dead. Course owes $250k for their water bill and obviously they have not paid it so the water is shut off.
They should paid us to play that course
Bartender in the club house (Ann) super nice lady!
Course is unplayable with rock hard greens and fairways. City shut off their water weeks ago. One month ago it was in great condition, but mismanagement has destroyed this golf course. RIP Club West.
