Course was I good condition. Greens were fuzzy (Guessing due to all the rain); fairway grass was long as well.
Foothills Scenery
The view of the surroundings was lovely. Coarse layout was great. Bunkers needed sand. Greens and tee boxes could have used a cut. If that was done and with the view I would recommend playing booking a tee time.
Nice Course Good Rate
Played this in mid February because of the rate about 30 minutes drive from where we were staying in Scottsdale. Was pleasantly surprised the conditions were great.
Slow Play- Great course
4 very intoxicated hackers in front of us. Course marshal should have removed them. Our round took 5.75 hrs to complete. Back 9 tee boxes needed mowing, was 10” deep
Tee boxes
The biggest complaint besides really slow play was the long grass on the tee boxes. Par 3’s were like hitting out of the rough the grass was so long.
Great - except
The course is great, the staff helpful and very friendly. But there was huge issue though. While they had plenty of staff, they did not have an on course ranger. There were two big groups having bachelors parties on the course and they ruined the day for everyone else. Drunken loud behavior and swearing, playing music on really high volume, EXTREMELY slow play - including standing around not playing while everyone else was waiting behind them in plain sight. It was ridiculous how completely unaware/oblivious there were to everyone else on the course. Many of us were unable to finish our rounds before dark because of these idiots. You should NEVER have to wait 15 minutes in the tee box. But without a Ranger, these overage frat boys ran completely amuck. And even before the round, two of these clowns drove off in my cart with my clubs loaded. The staff had to chase them down to retrieve them. I will NEVER EVER return here after this. Like I said, great course, nice staff, but what a complete waste of my time and money. Never again.
Nice but could use some love
I played course back in November and was impeccable. Maybe it was the heavy rains but tee boxes and greens were a little shaggy but still a fun course. Staff is great, pace was good inspire of heavy play. It's still a keeper
