Just after seeding, cart path only was a bit much for this disabled veteran; but wow what a course. Have played it at least twice before, but didn’t remember it as this good.

The course was rough. They were preparing to over seed and they had scalped the fairways and greens. Also, they lacked signs in places directing you to the next hole and back to club house after 18.

I really enjoyed this course and a good challenge, narrow fairways, precise placement needed and any interesting layout. The only complaint was that the greens were getting rough but it was late summer and expected

Very cool, undulating fairways, elevated tee boxes, tiered bunkers, postage stamp greens. Blind fairways and greens.

No TURN! After the 9th hole, I was about 1/2 mike from the clubhouse.

Greens were on great shape, despite weeks of 100 degree temps.

Summer hot deal rate of $9 for 18 holes including golf cart- lowest I have ever seen!!!

The steward at the end wiped our clubs down and drive me and my bag to my car! Top notch service

The only negative was the $6 beers by the cart girl.

My wife and I have played this course for many years. It is always the most fun, rewarding and challenging course in all of the Phoenix area.

The golf staff is superb, from the Pro to the Starter and bag handlers. Our favorite and hardest working is a great gentleman named Tom. They attend to every detail insuring your experience is the best it can be.

Again, thanks for the opportunity to have a great golf day.

Under no circumstances should you play this course. $15? No. $0? No. Too many blind shots, too many irons off the tee, too many small landing areas due to poor course design. I played the back tees, and I hit 9 iron off the tee... on back to back par FOURS! And no doubt about it, they are exaggerating the distances on the scorecard. There were multiple holes where I was on the back edge of the back tee, and the GPS yardage was 30-40 yards less than what was listed on the scorecard. Apparently trying to trick folks into thinking it's 6,300 yards when it's probably 5,900. Turf conditions were also poor, so I will never be back. Good prices in the pro shop though, and staff was friendly, so no complaints there... just the golf course is a joke.

I have played this course several times and it's a good course, but there are some things that are needed to make it even better.

The biggest thing that I believe this course needs are new amenities, such as GPS screens for the golf carts. The course has a lot of blind tee shots and for first time players, they have no idea where to aim or what their misses should be. So the carts need to have the GPS screens with the fly over views of each hole.

The beverage carts that are driving around need to have more food options, since there is no time to stop for snacks or food "at the turn," since we never go back to the clubhouse.

Also, the pace of play should be sped up a bit, by having a marshal out there to track pace, do not send out 2-singles in a row, and also have less cart path only holes. There are a ton of holes on the front-9 that are cart path only, which slows everything down. Fix up the course and take down the ropes,. Holes #1, 2 and 6 (par-5) should not need to be roped off....especially a par-5.

This has also been said many times, get a driving range if you are going to charge the prices that you do. I

Overall, the course is a great challenge, since there are elevation changes and a lot of blind tee shots. But if they don't add things and fix things here and there, they aren't going to get more golfers because the rates to justify the overall experience. I would love to recommend this course to friends and other golfers, but I can't really justify it because there are so many other courses in the valley that are true golf courses and have a lot more to offer.

there are a number of "blind" shot holes on the course but, in my humble opinion, they make the course quite challenging and honestly......fun.

the course could do with more drinking water stations. it was upwards of 110 and while we were given a cold mango towel twice while on the course, there needed to be water stations to keep the towel wet. when it's 110, it doesn't take long before it's dry.

What is now known as Arizona Grand was once Phantom Horse, which was originally known as The Pointe Golf Club at South Mountain. Tell me, please... when was the last time you knew of a golf course that was quite good that went through three name changes in less than 25 years? Mmmm hmmm, I thought so. Multiple design changes to the opening 4 holes as well as the sheer horror of holes 13, 14, 15 and 16 make Arizona Grande an absolute MUST NOT DO when it comes to golf in Phoenix. By the way, if you have played Lookout Mountain (which was originally The Pointe at Tapatio Cliffs and was designed by the same golf course architect, Forrest Richardson), you may experience a true sense of deja vu. Go with it. That's another review and another course that one could pass by without a thought, easily, although there are a number of good holes there. The same cannot be said about Arizona Grande.
