Hermitage Golf Club

Played this on June 21 with the Safari Club. Spectacular! Tough to find, but well worth it. Course was in great conditions throughout. Very challenging, and the views on some of the holes were amazing! Staff couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating from the time we drove into the parking lot until our round was finished. Clubhouse had excellent panoramic views of the surrounding area. Well worth the drive and looking forward to returning next year.

The Safari Club of Western Mass somehow found this absolutely gorgeous course in the Green Mountains of Vermont. 90 min. ride was worth it when we hit the first tee and saw the view of the surrounding mountains. Every fairway was different either play downhill or up. Greens were in great shape. Everything well maintained. We're going to make this a destination again.

Played this course for the first time with our Safari Golf Club. It was worth the 1 1/2 hour drive to experience this impeccable gem in the hills of southern Vermont. Immaculate course, gorgeous fairways and scenery, very challenging greens, but overall still fun to play.

One of Vermont's best tracks. Great views awesome holes and a great staff makes this track a must play anytime you're in the area.

This is the first time i have played this course and will definitely play it again...Some of the fairways were wet so you didn't get much roll but the fast greens made up for the fairways....very much a pleasure in the Green Mountains

As part of the Safari Club, more than 130 golfers from southern New England played this pristine beauty in southern Vermont. The two nines are quite different with the front holes a bit more open and able to see adjoining holes. Each hole on the back nine was by itself. Lush green from ample spring rains created little roll of the ball. Fairways were very narrow and required great accuracy to stay out of the rough. Greens were in great shape and consistent for all 18. Lots of elevation changes, especially on scenic hole 11. Can't wait to go back again next year. Worth the drive to play this spectacular course.

Played the course last Wednesday (6/21) with the Safari Club and enjoyed it immensely. Course was in superb condition from Tee to green, only surpassed by the surrounding scenic views. Great to play with fall colors if it fits your schedule. The staff mirrored the course and made the 19 th hole on of the best. Worth the drive.

I played Hermitage Golf Course on Wednesday 6/21/17 with the Safari Club and I can say that it was worth the ride from Agawam to Vermont. The course was in great shape considering the amount of rain we have had and the views were spectacular from almost every tee. The staff was great and could not do enough to make our day a wonderful one. They also put on a nice buffet at the end of the day for us. I would highly recommend this course if you are in the Vermont area.

If you are going to take a golf trip Vermont, play this course...it will take every club in your bag,and will test your short game...
It is an easy 80 minute ride. Safari members were happy to hear we are returning next year.

This course was incredible...it was immaculate and well manicured..
Despite having several inches of rain it had drained reasonably well and carts were allowed to use 90* into fairway...I was even allowed to use a handicapped placard within reason to the greens.
My Saturday group will be playing this course in the future!

A golf round at the Hermitage Golf Club is impossible to describe with any accuracy at all. It's something you have to experience for yourself to truly understand what the best possible experience in golf is all about. The incredible staff, the well manicured property, the incredibly scenic vistas and the fantastic greens all contribute to making this one of the most desirable golfing venues anywhere in the whole northeast. The well over 100 members of the Safari Club that played this course on the 21st of June all feel very privileged to have been part of this being our inaugural experience to this golf club. And we know one thing for sure...we'll ALL be back!

This Wed the Safari Golf Club played 18 holes of golf at Hermitage Golf Club in Vt. The course was in super shape and the staff was excellent. The tee boxed were the best that we have played this year. The fairways were in super shape and the greens were extremely fast. I must say that if you are a weekend golfer or a have a high handicap this might not be the course to play. It has par 3s that are long with very difficult greens to put. The fairways are rolling and steep angles to hit your second shot. I must say that it is not an easy course to score a low score. I did break 90 (shot an 85) but is was a struggle. The course layout is very nice view however, it is a 3 hour round trip from Springfield Mass. In the fall it must be a super view and it might be a fun trip with friends for a weekend trip.

We played with over 100 golfers from the Safari Club. The staff was very friendly and had personnel waiting to bring your clubs upon arrival to your designated cart. The event coordinator and P.G.A. Professional had everything planned efficiently and on time.The pace of play was very good considering the amount of golfers at this event. The course was a little wet but the club allowed carts on the course and asked that wet areas be avoided. The rates during the week are extremely good and would be a great time for foursomes. The dining room is very large and accommodating. The only drawback was that the price for wine was $15 a glass which seemed to be a little outrageous even though it is a resort area.

We had a very good time. First time we played it as a club. 107 of us were very surprised. Its a tight course and the greens are fast. The wind didn't help with the score. I hope we get to play there again.

We played this course with 100 plus Safari Gollfers today with all the rain we had in the past few day the course played very good.The conditions are to die for and the layout will keep you on your toes thinking about where to place your tee shot . the greens are pure but will test your ability to put fast true greens with and mountian twist to them.
The pro Drew and his staff couldn't have been any more attentive to our needs and the food is to die for my hat is off to the kitchen staff for a five star job !!
Play Hermitage one time any you will want to come back for revenge and a great time ,tell them the Safari guys and gale said hellow .

Beautiful design course with great conditions. Teeboxes and fairways were lush and speedy greens rolled true. Not a very long mountain side track but still presents challenges. Fairways are very narrow on most holes and local knowledge would help with the ways the greens play. Was very pleased I got the chance to play this course on a picture perfect weather day as this was my first round of golf in the state of VT. Everything was perfect except for being stuck behind an outing.

Played on a Monday and it was very pleasant. No one in front or behind us. Course is tight and to score well, one must be accurate. Quick greens and overall excellently maintained. Would absolutely play again.

I've played this course a few times, staff is always great and the course as challenging as it is scenic, and it is beautiful!

Views are great...really nice layout. Extremely difficult greens..almost impossible. Put a nice chip up to the flag and watch it roll 20 yards back on to the fairway.
