AH South Course--great experience
Clear skies, no wind, warm day: manicured course, fast greens--tough to beat a round like this with a good friend and a couple of other guys. Course was in good shape, pace was smooth, fairways are wide, greens slick. Worst problem--rain put water in bottoms of bunkers (but we were lucky--never hit a bunker).
Great Spring Day
Course is really coming in nicely however the bunkers were HORRIBLE.... not sure if they are being prepped for new sand or ??? They were rock hard and the sand was of lower quality than community play ground.
fun day
The course was fun to play but the front nine was in shaggy shape. The back nine was good.
Great getaway
I came up for the weekend from Phoenix. This course is challenging for a high handicapper like myself, but it’s fair and I doubt better players will have much trouble.
Great Golfing Day
Had a great day with my brother in law and two gentleman from PV. It was a nice day and the course was in great shape.
tee boxes & fairways we’ll below average, sand traps in poor condition & pace of play ridiculously slow. No course rangers to help speed things up. At $65 green fee expectations are considerably higher.
This course has nice greens
Pace of play was horrendous it took 2 1/2 hours to play the front nine after 4 1/2 hours we were on #15 !! So we quit!
My favorite public course
This course continues to remain my favorite public course in the area. The course has continued to improve through the season. The fairways have gotten better, but now the rough has gotten a little high. Greens are good. Some of the teeboxes are still a little chunked up. We got behind a foursome with 2 newbies but we still finished in 4 hours.
Windy Day
The course is fairly easy. A few holes have some obstacles, but nothing too drastic. There is water on a few holes which you need to be aware of. The only thing that made it difficult was the winds. The winds were 25mph and gusting. The greens were in good shape. Lots of foot traffic so a few bumps and scuffs made putting interesting. Pace of play was slow especially for an easy course. Although we rode in carts this would be a good walking course. The cart paths are terrible. I usually don't care about cart paths, but these were deep pot holes and gashes masquerading as a path.
