McCormick Ranch Golf Club features two lush manicured year-round courses amid the lovely views of Scottsdale. Both the Palm and Pine golf courses' championship tees lay to over 7,000 yards, and there are also the options of men's, seniors' and ladies' tee sets to allow everyone a crack at the tests offered by these golf courses.

Golf Illustrated selected the ninth hole of the Palm Course at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club to be "One of the USA's Top 18 Water Holes." It's just one of 10 water holes on the golf course, which, as you might imagine, also features lots of big palms. In all, the golf course plays to over yards from the blue tees, including four par-5 holes that measure over 500 yards.

A round of golf on the Palm Course at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which plays close to 400 yards from the blue tee and requires a drive right-center to ensure a short-iron second shot.

I played 18 holes on the Palm Course. It is a fun, challenging layout that requires all the shots from all your clubs. Sometimes right to left is required, sometimes left to right. Fairways, bunkers and greens were all on nice condition, considering it is summer in the desert. Pro-shop and range staff, and beverage cart staff very helpful and friendly. Just a really nice place to spend an afternoon!

I hadn't played this course in about 6 months, not because I didn't like the course but because of the rude, inconsiderate and super unfriendly staff in the pro shop. Unfortunately, a friend talked me into giving it a second chance, and not surprisingly, nothing has changed. I play all over Scottsdale, and for that matter have played all over the country. Never, and I mean never, have I experienced such miserable staff members. You'd think they'd recognize they're in the service industry & treat their paying patrons better. Nope, they have a knack for being the most unfriendly, rude pro shop I've ever been to. Funny thing is I get treated much, much better when I play courses that put this one tho shame, go figure! Don't get me wrong, all I ask is for a little respect, and oh yeah, maybe a thank you would be nice. Needless to say, this place won't be getting anymore of my money. Way better course options, and much friendlier staff all over The Greater Phoenix area!!

I paid for the Palm course, but the superintendent decided to close it right as we got there, so we had to play the Pine course instead. The reason we were given was the course needed watering. Will not go back. Speaking of watering, if you play this course you better take plenty of water because there is not much out there to drink.

Booked this at the last minute and played 27 holes for $29! (inc. cart GPS). Course wa in great condition given time of year (very hot 104f). only issues was that the back 9 for the Palm course course was closed due to a water problem so we played the front 9 and the whole 18 on the Pine course.

Pro shop staff where excellent to deal with as so was the cart giril (Trish) whom we saw approx 5/6 times.

We have played this course numerous times over the years and it has always been one of the best deal anywhere by none.

Highly reccomended.

Mothers Day should be like this everyday at McCormick. No Marshalls needed today.. yet pace of play was under 4 hours.. the way it should be when Marshals are there.

A lot of thin grassy areas due to potential fungus/blight. A lot of super wet areas due to ??Maybe a sprinkler issue or 3 ?

Played the other day and I was VERY disappointed in the condition of the course. The fairway grass was very inconsistent, especially on the back nine. There were lots of bare spots. There were a few greens in decent shape, but most looked like they were affected by a fungus which had not been treated. There are lots of better and nicer places to play in the Phoenix area, for about the same money. The course is definitely showing its age.

Most of course was in poor shape. Wanted to play this course for many years & picked a horrible time to do so. Think they have some broken water lines- both incoming & outgoing. 14th hole looked & smelled like sewer- sad to say, so did my "brand new" shoes. For $75 a player (×2) & no mention of anything in advance, we'd never go back. My wife & I couldn't figure out why nobody was teeing off on the Palm course but we soon found out. Think they should have paid us to play.

Like so many courses these days, their bunkers were pathetic- no sand, just pebbles & gravel. Don't know why they even have them any more as all I did was scratch & scrape up my fairly new irons & woods. Greens & fairways also looked "diseased". I'm SAD DEAL! Painted Mountain $41 & Arizona Golf Resort $25 both in much better shape and a much wiser choice.

We play in a league on Wednesday afternoons. When I arrived the cart said we would be playing on the Palm but the outside service staff said Pine. Then it was switched to the Palm. AAAARRRGGHH! The bunkers we're basically dirt, no sand. We didn't see the beverage cart until the 9th hole. I'll pass on Palm.

Layout is terrible

Course conditions were bad. Fairway could be mud, nice, or dirt. Never know what to expect. Area around the greens is terrible. I could get better lies at my dog park.

I will say the speed of the greens and surface was pretty good. Other than that it was really poor.

Won’t be playing there again.

I have had some better experiences on the Pine course.

Played McCormick Ranch many times for years but the course has deteriorated substantially . I was shocked at the lack

of maintenance, sand traps are a joke, no sand basically dirt, tee boxes were not trimmed, SAD for a course that has much to offer. Management needs to get their act together
