Great Value, great course-
Course is in great condition. Greens run true. Considering the amount of play this course gets I am amazed at the great condition. People are friendly, Coach the starter is a pleasure to be around always has a smile. We have played here 3 times now, finished all three rounds in 4 hours. Been to several other courses and I don't see how you can beat the Orange Tree experience.
This is a basic back & forth, flat golf course. Outside staff is lacking at best. After multiple attempts to get bags picked up at bag drop finally carried my wife's & my bag in. Staff was willing to load them.
Staff willing to wipe your clubs down, for a tip when your done, but don't expect them to take them to thebag drop off.
Many places to play in this area. In my opinion. Skip this one.
Great value for the money
Nice wintertime golf The course was in great condition
Busy Day — Starter was overwhelmed
Played as a single and was paired with another single despite very busy day. Starter was doing his best but was confused and overwhelmed. Waited on every hole. Course in good condition except bunkers which were very hard. I would play the course again but not on a weekend.
Always a good day at Orange Tree
We seldom duplicate courses in the Valley because there are so many to choose from, but we come back to Orange Tree often because it is one of the best values/conditioned courses we play. It is always in good shape especially for the green fees. The other particular plus is how well they keep up the pace of play. We seldom take more than four hours to play. Hard to beat this course anywhere in the Valley
Course is enjoyable to play. Had frost delay so tee times backed which slowed play.
We went in blind (never heard of the course) and were blown away with the awesome experience we had. Is a must to play again. The staff are top notch !
Good time playing even though with a 2:15 tee off was able to play 16 holes before too dark.
Course was in best shape of any courses we have played to date. Layout very fair. Busy course, but no long delays, played round in just over 4 hrs.
Staff was very friendly and helpful. Will return.
Rangers tried to keep moving but players won the fight on the back nine. Very busy day. We waited on every shot but still had the foursome behind us hit in to us. Never the less a good day like every day on the course.
To be fair, there was a frost delay that held up play for roughly 40 mins or so. But that didn't stop the pro shop staffer from selling me a small bucket of range balls. Or, informing me of the delay, which closed the driving range and putting green. Fortunately, the driving range was opened about 15 mins before my delayed tee time. Now, for the course; haven't played OT in roughly 4 years; still the same nice layout and well maintained. Tee boxes are nice and level! The greens running around 6/7 on the stimp and have enough undulations to make putting challenging. Still though, the superintendent and pro shop staff need to get in synch when there are frost or other delay's and make sure that info is passed onto the paying player.
Easy course but problems with cart paths.
Wide fairways, easy course to score well but course conditions not as good as the other courses we played in Palm Desert. The cart paths wound around community in what we thought was a dangerous manner , crossing roads with poor , faded signage and cars not being careful with golf carts on the road. Staff was very friendly.
Long for me
I chose to play copper, (5700) .I could have played the combo (5100) but the Orange tee boxes are very "make shift" . this is obviously an old traditional course. It tends to be long with add -on forward tees for us "ladies". There is nothing wrong with this, except I prefer a "real tee box instead of hitting from a spot in the fairway...so I paid for this decision...I was about 6 strokes worse than usual. Fun anyway . Just kept wondering if I would ever see a GR again..lol
