Pine at McCormick Ranch Golf Club
About
The Pine Course at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club offers mature pines, in an appropriate contrast to its sibling golf course, the Pine Course, and is also narrower than the other golf course. What they have in common include the facts that Desmond Muirhead designed both of them and they both date back to 1972; recent renovations have also given both golf courses new greens, sand traps and bridges.
The Pine at McCormick Ranch Golf Club measures 7,187 yards, kicking off on a 398-yard par 4 that requires tee shot toward the fairway's center, leaving golfers a mid- to short-iron from the green, which slopes narrowly. Things get long by the fourth hole, one of four par-5 holes that come in at over 500 yards; this one, for example, makes you place your drive well toward right-center if you want to shoot for it in two. Close out the round of golf on the 18th hole, another long one, at 517 yards from the blue tees, and a tight hole to drive that will, thankfully, provide your last test for the day.

Great playing experience
Enjoyed the experience of McCormick Ranch Pines. Back nine is fabulous.
Good walk spoiled
I booked this course because I remembered walking it in years past. That's no longer allowed. I even offered to pay more just to walk but they shot me down. That's silly and I won't be going back...this would/should be a very walkable course!
Perfect Day After Rain
Course was in great shape. The problem was that it had just rained and it was cart path only until the 17th hole. Give me a break. I can understand the first four or five holes but for the price we are paying plus the course had dried up by then… be fair to your players. Aside from that I do enjoy the course even though if you slice it just a little bit you will be in the next fairway over. I like that there are lots of holes with water nearby, keeps it interesting.
Great Value
The quality for the price we paid was exceptional. Great Customer Service all around and one of the few courses in town that is not cart path only. Fun Round.
A nice course to play
Course was in good shape, pace of play was good, starter was friendly and knowledgeable about the corse. It was a nice round of golf.
McCormick Ranch
Classic Arizona Golf course.. gentle, winding, smooth greens even during overseed. A few muddy spots but were allowed full scatter with carts. Beautiful weather made this a very nice day on the course and could overlook any issues with conditions..There are more extreme golf courses to choose but McCormick did provide some nice views and an enjoyable day
Carts allowed
Most courses in the area were cart path only due to over-seeding, this course was not which was a big relief. The conditions were good, nice course. The play got slow toward the last 3 or 4 holes but, otherwise a good pace.
Prime Location & Great Conditions
Course was in great shape! Greens were immaculate, maybe just a little sandy in the morning. Outside service & golf shop staff were super helpful. It was little pricey, but hard to blame them when they’re dead center scottsdale & booked out on a Saturday morning.
Friendly staff, great conditioned course for the money.
Great place to play. Greens were in good shape and course overall was in good condition. Although I didn’t find the fairways a lot, they were in good shape. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Players need to fix their ball marks more on the greens but that is somewhat expected on a public course.
Fantastic conditions
Fairways were amazing (when I found them) views were spectacular and hole 15 might be my favorite hole I’ve ever played. Staff was friendly and we were behind 2 foursomes and the pace was still good
