Talon at Grayhawk Golf Club
About
The Talon at Grayhawk Golf Club, designed by past U.S. Open champion David Graham and architect Gary Panks, offers excitement and drama. It ranks among Arizona's top daily-fee courses and is one of the Top 10 You Can play in the U.S., according to Golf Magazine. Several top events have been played on the golf course, including Andersen Consulting World Championship semifinals and finals, FBR Open pro-ams, and the Hospice of the Valley Pro Am.
The Talon at Grayhawk Golf Club delivers vistas of the McDowell Mountains and Phoenix and Scottsdale skylines. The course blends into the desert. The back nine plays around box canyons, while Saguaro cacti and Mesquite, Palo Verde, and Ironwood trees, along with indigenous flowers, are the scenery.
After a round on the Talon at Grayhawk Golf Club, recharge at Quill Creek Café, with Southwest-spiced American eats and vistas of the course and those McDowell Mountains from the dining room and patio.

Challenging but enjoyable
Good course, challenging, tight fairways in places.
Golf AM tour site review
Great layout and very challenging. You must like desert golf.
Awesome
Top quality course that played hard but very fair. Greens were in great shape and ffairways as well
Senior Sarazen
Excellent course to have a championship on. Would play this course over and over again.
Grayhawk Courses
Both the Raptor and Talon are nice courses. I try to play them every trip down to Arizona.
Since September is still in the off season in Arizona, I only gave 3 stars for overall course conditions.
I am sure during prime time it is much better.
Thanks

Excellent course to have a championship. I learned a lot of risk to reward holes.
the harder of the 2 courses
A Classic Desert Course ,Beauty with Teeth , trouble all around , but very nice .
Risk reward
You needed to take a good look at the R/R issues. The course will eat you up if you don't think about it and weigh the options carefully.
Very difficult course
This course I thought was slightly easier than Talon but not by much. Deep bunkers and undulating greens added to the narrow fairways to make for a difficult golf course. I'm a decent golfer but this was too hard for me.
One Great Desert Course
Beautiful course, if you hitting it straight not to bad but lot of trouble in front of you . Great Challenge , all the Staff very Professional.
Tourney Play
Great venue for a National Tourney! The course is narrow and demands accuracy. Risk reward issues abound.
Very difficult-not much fun
This course was so difficult that it really wasn't much fun to play. Greens were slow and so difficult with the undulations that getting up and down was almost impossible. Bunkers are very deep and hard to get out of. Desert is unforgiving. Fairways are NOT generous. Played as part of a tournament but would not come back and play for "fun". Course was in good shape but it's just too difficult for me. Also, temperature was 106 that day

Great layout and very challenging. You must like desert golf.
Talon
Tough course. Keep it in the fairway when you play at Greyhawk.
Desert course
This is a great desert course. Beautiful scenery and nicely laid out.
