Talking Stick Golf Club - O'odham Course
The Talking Stick Golf Club features two golf courses designed by the architecture team of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, who created distinct golf courses with enough choices to accommodate all levels of golfers. The golf club sits on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community reservation, a spot that provides the serenity necessary to endure a testing day of golf.
"Talking Stick's O'odham (formerly known as North Course) course, with its broad, angular holes rewards thoughtful play through the rise of its many options according to one's level of skill. Its low-profile, slightly crowned greens and close-cropped approaches encourage running as well as aerial assaults." -- Bill Coore & Ben Crenshaw
The second hole is a par 5 that measures 552 yards from the Black tee and is one of two long holes, with the 17th being a par 5 that plays to 582 yards from the Black tees.
The 18th hole on the O'odham Course at the Talking Stick Golf Club is shorter, relatively speaking, a par 4 that measures 471 yards from the Black tees.

Wideest fairways in the valley!
The fairways and greens were huge and the course was very fun to play!
Great day Great value
Have played Talking Stick dozens of times over the past five years and have never failed to have a great round. It gets pretty slow in the winter, but now that the snowbirds are gone, it’s back to a good track. A special shout out to the drink cart lady - she saw us five or six times over the round and since it was a hundred degrees today, she was a welcome sight. Two excellent courses and great service!
Talking Stick South
Course was in great shape and pace of play was just over 4 hours. The track is a well designed layout with tough greens.
Above Average - Suits my Game
I liked this course because it suits my game. WIDE fairways....LOL. The course doesn't kill you if you miss a fairway which gives non-perfect players a chance to be in play and have a shot at the green. Greens were is good shape and speed but generally well protected. Missing the will require a skilled short game. Staff was average friendly and the food in the clubhouse was just OK. We played both courses......enjoyed them both. Free driving range, GPS carts, and great practice area. I'd recommend this course,
So so conditioning
Sorry to say the course conditions are a. 6/10 particularly fairway and cart paths. Electric carts are in mediocre shape making strange noise and a bit of lurching.. no big hurry back for me.
Municipal course conditions with municipal course pace of play. Brutal 5 hr round on Friday afternoon.
Played the Gold tees... a bit longer yardage than we usually do.
Great Day of Golf
Relatively cool day at the end of April so it was a wonderful day for golf. Course conditions were excellent. We played the North course. Greens were a little hard; and therefore difficult to hold.
Had a great time and would highly recommend to anyone.
One of My New Favourite Courses
First time playing and I will definitely be returning often.
I played the North Course and I have no complaints. I liked the layout, there are a few holes where you have to place your ball for the next shot. I’m sure many golfers would like to “speak” with mr.Crenshaw about #12. Mostly nice wide fairways, some VERY contoured greens. Practice facilities are good, staff excellent.
I’ll be back!
Didn’t have our reservation from golf now, cold breakfast, warm beer and 5-10 minutes waiting at each hole. We stopped at 9 because there were 2 foursomes waiting before we even started 10.
25mph winds not a good thing
Course was in good shape overall, lack of water in layout & dirt everywhere between fairways not good in windy conditions ! Dust flying everywhere entire time ,. The range was nice , employees were courteous , minus wind condition would have been enjoyable
Nice condition - both fairways and greens. Desert is playable, which is good for us who are taking a break from the northern winters.. Staff very friendly at all contact points...bag drop, pro shop, starter, beverage cart, and restaurant. Would play there again. Perhaps not best bang for the buck at full price. Only drawback the day I played was the 5:05 pace of play. A bachelor party was having a good time a couple groups ahead of us, and they must have had a great time on the back 9 as the pace was nearly intolerable.
