Talking Stick Golf Club - O'odham Course
The Talking Stick Golf Club features two golf courses designed by the architecture team of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw, who created distinct golf courses with enough choices to accommodate all levels of golfers. The golf club sits on the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community reservation, a spot that provides the serenity necessary to endure a testing day of golf.
"Talking Stick's O'odham (formerly known as North Course) course, with its broad, angular holes rewards thoughtful play through the rise of its many options according to one's level of skill. Its low-profile, slightly crowned greens and close-cropped approaches encourage running as well as aerial assaults." -- Bill Coore & Ben Crenshaw
The second hole is a par 5 that measures 552 yards from the Black tee and is one of two long holes, with the 17th being a par 5 that plays to 582 yards from the Black tees.
The 18th hole on the O'odham Course at the Talking Stick Golf Club is shorter, relatively speaking, a par 4 that measures 471 yards from the Black tees.

From start to finish everything went smoothly.
The guys in. the pro shop were very friendly as was the starter. The fairways were in beautiful
shape as were most of the greens.
The course was busy but still moved pretty well.
A little wind makes a big difference
A flat course without any really outstanding challenges or holes. Just a pleasant outing in the Phoenix sun. The wind kicked up a bit of challenge since I hit my irons very high, but the course itself was pretty forgiving and the greens receptive.
The greens though were not in very good shape. Pock marked terribly, and bumpy near the hole. I had an eagle putt tracking to the hole when it hit a HUGE crater and bounced straight up. Don't know how I missed fixing THAT ball mark, but a bit of a downer both for condition of course and of my attention span lol. I'll play it again.
Clubhouse was good, lots of attractive merch. Got a head cover with a cool native design and comfortable, great looking shirt.
Course was ok but is very overrated. It’s a $50 course not a $150.
The weeds were so VERY AGGRAVATING!!! They were 2 ft. I should have complained to know end.
Fairways are immaculate. Very nice staff and course
Course was a good shape given all the rain over the last few days. Biggest issue was tee times delayed 1 hour. Instead of 2:08, tee off was 3:05, therefore was unable to play 18 holes. This was frustrating.
Weather shortened round
Nice to play on a course not surrounded by housing. South course conditions were excellent, staff were great. Only negative was getting our round on the GolfNow “hot deal” pricing. It was raining when we started and raining really hard when we quit part way through. The fine print says the only refund available is when the course is closed. It might as well have been closed with the number of golfers remaining when we quit. The only ones left must have been the “ hot deal” people who couldn’t cancel. Ah well, live and learn.
Let's tee off
Staff very friendly and helpful. Course was in good shape but a little overpriced for a basic layout.
Good Track, Great Experience
Played the North and South courses back to back. Great setting, views, and really great staff.
Frost delay the one day made it hard to judge pace of play as they were scrambling to get groups out.
Range is huge.
Clubhouse well stocked.
Lounge small but great outdoor viewing area
Great course and friendly staff.
Beautiful course, rate of play was perfect and the staff was awesome. Would recommend to anyone in the Phoenix area to play.
cold windy day at talking stick
Haven't played it in a while. I'll be back. Great layout, challenging course, lots of fun.
Slow play and noisy
Over a 5 hour round. They let people ride that aren’t playing and play their music very loud.
