Great Eagle Golf Club
Great Eagle Golf Club, rated one of the most affordable golf courses in Arizona, is a championship course in the West Valley. Although it has a traditional design there are several unique and challenging elements that come into play such as undulating mounds that cause uneven lies and well-guarded greens. Water hazards also come into play on four holes. The golf course offers three sets of tee boxes so that there is some flexibility regarding levels of challenge, but overall the course is suitable for any player. The Great Eagle Golf Club, in addition to the course, also offers both a chipping green and a putting green.

Not bad. Especially for the price.
$20 special! Layout is quite fun. Challenging enough. Lots of hills and bumps along the way.
Front 9 fairways not that great. Overseed just starting to take and very little Bermuda on them.
Back 9 is quite good. Pretty. Challenging.
Impossible to beat for the price. Just be ready for a little slop on the front 9.
Worse Course almost ever
There were no tee markers except for two holes. The course was dry and hard, the greens were in bad shape. I believe that if someone who cared about golf took over the management it could be very good. This course is in competition with Traditions up the road a few blocks. I don't care that much for Traditions but it sure has Great Eagle beat. Fix up and I might try it again. Oh and nothing was open. Had to pay greens fees through a window. Give me a break!
They gave no indication that the course was in such terrible condition and that they were only playing the back-nine. Additionally, they continued to pile up groups playing the back-nine so that when we made the turn there were 5 additional groups waiting to tee off between us and the group that had been ahead of us. We walked off after nine holes despite paying for eighteen. Ridiculous and unacceptable way of managing a golf course.
$40 for a terrible course
The worst course condition I’ve ever seen. Paid $40 to play holes 10-18 twice. If they would advertise this on golf now it wouldn’t have been a problem, although, they didn’t. Please don’t waste you’re money here. Learn from my mistake.
Needs to be mowed
Nice little track. Only back 9 open. For the price it’s nice. Gotta cut the greens better. Very hairy
Do not play here
This golf course has been over seeding for the past month. Just be Honest. We all know you don't over seed in September when it's 115 degrees outside. This golf course is run down. Needs new management
GolfNow has to post when the course is reseeding. We drove 20 mins to find out the front 9 closed. Everyone going off #1 tee. There were over 10 carts backed up We got rainchecks
First nine closed
In a month greens and fairways will be nice , fairways now are playing like in the rough due to long grass , greens also long
Horrible customer service
Lady at window was rude, only playing the back nine twice, had a take it or leave it “oh well attitude. When booked thru good now it said start at 10th, lady said too bad she doesn’t control what golf now says. 115degs why are you reseeding?
Had to play the back nine twice because they are overseeding the front that wasn't so bad but both par fives on the back side where converted to extremely short par threes ( as in less than 100 yards). Was not worth the price.
No Par 5s in the back 9
Every Par 5 on the back nine was in complete disarray. Since they’re unplayable, the holes were shortened into 70-100 yard Par 3s. On top of this, we are out there at 7 am and on those holes the sprinklers sprayed us all the way to the greens. No warning on the shortened holes, so many other great courses to play right now with good prices. I would skip in favor of next door.
Course is in very bad condition!
I’ve played Great Eagle several times and the course conditions are always hit or miss in my opinion. Sometimes it will be really good, but other times it will be terrible. This was one of the times the course was in terrible condition. There were points on the course where it is difficult to distinguish between the fairways and out of bounds. The most of the par 5 holes were reduced to very short par 3’s less than 90-yards away.. the greens were ok for the most part though, but overall conditions were not good.
Poor conditions/too many single players
The golf course looked like crap! Too many puddles and PAR3 holes! And too many single players golfing/having them go in on a foursome....not good! Will give it some time before I go to this golf course again! So sorry this golf course missed it today!
And....nothing open or no cold drinks being served....totally understand with COVID19 going on but to mitigate use face mask and 6ft distance!
