Great Eagle Golf Club
Great Eagle Golf Club, rated one of the most affordable golf courses in Arizona, is a championship course in the West Valley. Although it has a traditional design there are several unique and challenging elements that come into play such as undulating mounds that cause uneven lies and well-guarded greens. Water hazards also come into play on four holes. The golf course offers three sets of tee boxes so that there is some flexibility regarding levels of challenge, but overall the course is suitable for any player. The Great Eagle Golf Club, in addition to the course, also offers both a chipping green and a putting green.

Course is in very nice shape. The fairways are excellent and the greens are a little slow but overall a nice course.
Greens need work
Staff friendly. Fairways in good shape. Greens are way to slow. Need some attention for sure.
Good challenging course
The fairways and greens are maintained well and the course layout is challenging and fun. The cart paths need reconstruction.
this course has improved 1005 from summer conditions .the greens could be sped up a bit otherwise very good.
Course is in good shape for the effort (?) they put into it. The so called sand traps need a lot of sand put in to be called anything other than dirt traps. Pot bunkers need to have any sort of grass growing in them.
Great Eagle in January
I've noticed some definite improvement of this course over the last couple of years, and kudos for that, but it still has a ways to go. If the whole course could be kept up like the publicly visible 10th, it'd be a gem, but, as it is, once out of public sight, it isn't so much. I think, to most golfers, the course is likely worth the price but the cart paths are back-breakers and if you want to encourage golfers to stick to the paths, they should be a priority to be improved, but Great Eagle deserves a recommendation for its availability related to its price and by visible improvement efforts which I hope will continue.

Greens were pretty slow but they have quit a few holes that will eat you alive if you don't play smart
A challenging course with well kept fairways, good greens but desert-like rough. Best it's been in several years.
Golfed with Jason and his son.
Great golf today, greens we're great, Cart person àlways showed up for refreshments. But the Club house was very crowded and busy. I tried to grab a burger with no luck. Ended up at Burger King.
Fairways and greens were in good shape, albeit the greens were a bit slow. It’s probably because of moisture from the rain we’ve had the past couple of days, as it looked like the greens were freshly cut at the right height. Always a pleasure to play this course and chat with the friendly starter.
Great morning golf
Played as a single with another single, had a great time with no one in front of us and no one behind. 3 hour round in the morning. Course was in good shape.
Looks good from Bell Road - different once you get inside
This was not the worst course I have ever played but it wasn’t the best either. I wouldn’t pay $33 to play it again but maybe $20. Cart paths are dirt for the most part and signage is lacking so you had to really watch how to get to next hole. I did enjoy my round. There were some challenges but overall a pretty friendly course. Today there was some standing water to watch out for.
We play here occasionally and today was the first time this fall. The course is in much better shape than I have ever seen. The layout is a bit challenging given the layout so you really need to play here once before you know where to aim. The greens were rolling true but a bit slow. Excellent pace of play at 4:00. RECOMMENDED!
First time playing at this course, liked the set up and the greens were in fantastic shape. Fairway also in good shape. Staff friendly in pro shop, cart area and bar.
best in several years
Great Eagle is as good as it has been in several years. Fairways are good, greens perfect and tee boxes improved and good. Cart paths suck
Greens are good if a bit slow. Front 9 is pretty bad. Back 9 is allot better. Bunkers have no sand. Cart literally had no brakes. Would take 10 ft to stop.
Sketchy on the edges
Tee boxes, greens and fairways were great! Cart paths and fringes were very poor. Also had to watch for bees which were well posted!
