First Time
The course was in very good shape. The greens held well but they were grainy and a little slow (I had played Corte Bella the day before and those greens had perfect speed). Faster greens would have made this a very nice experience. It was a nice layout with beautiful landscaping. This was my first time playing here, but because of the green speed and pace of play I don't know if I would play it again. It took 4 hrs and 40 minutes to play. Saw the ranger go by twice but he never stopped to see how we were doing.
Great Course, Great Place
Super course at a phenomenal price. I'll take advantage of this opportunity anytime offered.
Another good Sun City Grand course
Course in good shape from tee to green. Showing some signs of heat fatigue on the fairways. Played with another Golf Now advocate who was paired up with me. Pace was okay given the number of players on the course (quite busy for a Tuesday). Would recommend course to anyone venturing over to the Sun City area but get there before all the residents of Grand return when the availability will become limited and the cost will become expensive.
Good value this time of year
Fairways in some areas were very soft so your club would come through like a bunker.
besides that great value
Greens were the worst
I played as a single but was trying to hook up with a threesome , but they would not let me join or play through, but the greens were the slowest due to this time of the year. I could not get the ball to the hole. I went to a 8 iron for chipping.
Desert Springs
Pleasantly surprised by course conditions in late May, fairways and greens were fantastic. Front nine layout has much more character than back nine. Our foursome played in 3 hrs 45 min on a Saturday morning, very enjoyable.
Sun City Grand course
Played Desert Springs with a member of the community. Very nice individual by the way. Course in average shape from tee to green with a few interesting holes . Greens medium fast and smooth but do not look great in appearance. Pretty typical this time of year in the valley. Would recommend playing but one should find a Golf Now deal as most of year the course is overpriced. Maybe play again this summer when rates become more reasonable
Beautiful course!
First time playing here and was very impressed. The course was in amazing shape!! I will definitely be back again!
Had a great day. Wasn't aware that it was a shotgun start, but it turned out to be no problem. Played with 2 nice guys and had a very nice morning. Course was in great shape, could have used a bit more sand in the bunkers, but beyond that, no complaints. Would go back again, for sure, shotgun start and all!
Wide fairways
Nice view from the tips
Wide fairways help to position the ball for a mid iron shot the the green
This course has good features !
This course are good for old people to play , not to hard and not to easy just perfect . I enjoyed very much when I around.
Good Track, No Tricks
Straight-forward layout with some length and challenge, but no tricks. 7000 yards from the tips, water in play on a few holes, good bunkering, and large greens. Conditions were lush, and the greens were firm and rolled true with decent pace. Friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent value at $19 after 10am. I will certainly be back.
Good value
Enjoyed the day, course was in good shape considering it was one week before overseeding. Will play it again.
best Sun City Course I've played
Desert Springs golf course is a little hard to find but well worth the time and money. It has been so far the best course we have played in the Sun City area. Because it is so popular it was packed with members and the pace of play was slow. Just a 2 some in our group and it took 4 hours and 15 minutes. Great Course for the cost!
Far west side favorite
Start off with a friendly clubhouse employee (Paula) and continue with a very cordial starter,
The course was in excellent condition from tee to green. Very open on the fairways made an errant shot quite playable. Place of play was excellent. Starting times were far enough apart that there was no major backlog. On only one par 3 was there a slight delay. Highly recommend this course. I have booked and for the upcoming Monday.
Last few days before overseeding
Only able to play 4 holes due to windstorm and rain (no rain checks) We knew there were no rain checks so guess we were just unlucky. Course in poor shape but found out they shut for overseeding next Tuesday.
I guess in future it's buyer beware.
Roll 'em; Roll em; Roll em.
If you his a power drive, this course will give you ample opportunities to GIR! This course will challenge you if you stray either too far right or left. Greens are true and easy to read.
Great value for the money
Can't beat it for the price. Good course conditions, but not elite. Finished in just under 4 hours. Looks like they are getting ready to overseed
