Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills
About
The executive-length Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills (formerly known as Rolling Hills Golf Course) provides an excellent game and it is a very player-friendly course. True to its name, the course is quite hilly causing a few elevation changes and undulating greens. The fairways are lined with pretty trees, adding some challenge and beauty to the course. There are no water hazards but there are a few strategically placed bunkers to worry about as well as some out-of-bounds stakes bordering a few of the holes. Grass Clippings at Rolling Hills consists of ten par 3s and eight par 4s. On the premises there are also practice facilities, a pro shop, and an on-site golf pro.

Use mats for tee boxes
Front 9 used mats for. Tee boxes and shortened previous par 4's to par 3's. Greens were on good condition, but hard to hold and rough short and dry doesn't stop long run offs.
Golf at Grass Clippings
Course is not in great shape...not a sniff a green between tee box and greens .
Hitting off mats still
Hole signage non existent
9th hole gps on cart off by 100 yards
Paying with cash not an option
The food truck had excellent food
Same old course, but cost 3 times more.
I think the fees are pretty unrealistic for day golf. I don't like the changes to the front 9, took out what little character it had. glad they left the back 9 alone.
Grass conditions are much better where there is grass. All native areas are now ugly dirt. I'm sure there's a plan I hope.
Carts were nice, staff was GREAT!
TERRIBLE
150$ for a par 3 course is absolutely ridiculous and the police should investigate for robbery. I don’t care if they massage your back while you play, a couple lights doesn’t make you able to charge 6x what you used to charge.
has gone downhill
This used to be so fun to play. Price has skyrocketed and course in bad shape. Driving range a mess. No grass to tee from.Tee boxes hammered. No ball washers. Greens used to be excellent. Now just so-so. They have reduced the fairway area on the par fours. Looks and plays awful. Too much dirt area on the front nine. No yardage markers on fairways or cart paths.Seriuosly? These people have no idea what they are doing. Such a shame. Used to be my go-to course. Doubt I will ever play there again.
disappointed
Tee boxes on 1-8 are artificial turf, not good. Way more dirt than green grass. Not sure why would call it "Grass Clippings".
greens are unreal
WAY TO EXPENSIVE
Played here many times before they switched. This course used to be city owned and the local spot to get in some reasonable golf where you could play 18 holes for 20$ at times. Now they added some lights and are charging 100$-150$ for 18 AND they took out the par 4s. This is absolutely ridiculous and they should be JAILED for the robbery they are committing on people.
Work in progress
They have been working on this course for almost a year and it was not in great shape yesterday. All the tee boxes on the front 9 were closed and the greens were bald in places. It was packed and we were over an hour past our tee time before we were able to start.
I hope it gets better.
Short but difficult course
Mostly par 3. but difficult course that will let you use every club in your bag.
Night Golf is super cool
Had an incredible time playing night golf at Grass Clippings. It’s a par 3 course so it’s a bit pricey. People complain about dead fairways, but you shouldn’t be in the fairway on a par 3 course. Greens were amazing. Tee boxes were okay. It’ll only get better.
Also props to ownership for holding some amazing events and getting top YouTubers there.
