Mountain
Rode the Greens (6537/71.3/137) early Sunday. Only reached 90 later in the round, muggy but fairly calm. 4H, 10M POP.
Tees mostly lush/level with most divots repaired.
Fairways lush and very nice to play from.
Bermuda rough is thick, the ball will sit down to where you almost have to step on it to see it unless you are right on top of it. Even though it is not ridiculously tall, it is very punitive.
Sand traps very good with plenty of soft white sand. Fairway bunkers firmer, both types well maintained.
Large Bermuda greens were rolling nice after the recent rains. Still firm, smooth and medium speed.
Very enjoyable round made even better when my guest from Colorado almost aced #3, the signature par 3 with the green cut out of the top of a hill surrounded by lost ball territory for a kick in birdie!
Challenging layout with forced carries and many lateral lost ball areas. Customer service very good from all. No Drink cart even on the weekends was a surprise? Nice restaurant on site with good selection/reasonable golf course prices. Excellent all grass practice area which includes range balls but it is a long way from the pro shop and 1st tee. Basic carts do not have GPS. Recommended.

Played mountain course, a true pleasure would recommend this facility anytime
Mountain
Rode the Greens (6537/71.3/137) super twilight. Around 100 and fairly calm. POP was as quick as you chose, hardly anyone out.
Tees lush/level with most divots repaired.
Fairways lush and nice to play from.
Bermuda rough green and decent to play from. Thick, the ball will sit down.
Sand traps very good with plenty of soft white sand. Fairway bunkers firmer.
Large Bermuda greens were top dressed but still rolled nice. Smooth, medium speed and firm.
First course Fazio designed west of the Mississippi River in the mid 1980's that will challenge you. Expect forced carries and many lateral lost ball areas. Customer service very good from all. No Drink cart on weekdays in the summer. Nice restaurant on site. Excellent all grass practice area which includes range balls but it is a long way from the pro shop and 1st tee. Basic carts do not have GPS. Recommended.
Average experience
The course was adequate
The starter Ian’s the guys driving the carts were professional
But the people at the water station fell short
We try to get water None was offered and no beverage cart came around the entire 18 holes
Canyon
Rode the Greens late afternoon. Muggy, clear, calm and around 100. Course has really become much more lush after the seasonal Monsoon rains. Several holes on the back have sand piled up around the edge of the rough/desert, courtesy of a couple of flash floods a few weeks ago.
Tees level and nice to play from.
Fairways lush and nice play from.
Bermuda rough maintained low and generally okay to play from with some thick areas. Ball settles in and is punitive.
Sand traps well maintained with good quality, light sand.
Greens smooth and medium speed. Firm, you have to play for some roll out.
Customer service excellent from everyone. Top notch grass driving range included with the golf. Carts do not have GPS. No Drink cart today, and they no longer provide bottled water since the water jugs are filled again. Nice restaurant onsite with decent variety and good prices for a golf course. Recommended.
Charging for parking???
They better review the policy for charging for parking, quite a ridiculous money grab.
Course is best in the Tucson, don’t ruin it for charging for parking.
VA guy playing in AZ
This course was absolutely beautiful. I've played courses all over the world, 100's. Probably in my top 25 for best layout, condition, and staff. Highly recommend to anyone in the area. Take the time and play. You will not be disappointed.

Mountain
Rode the Greens (6338/70.2/136) with Owen twilight. Around 100, partly cloudy, muggy and calm. POP 4H... 2.5H playing behind a SLOW 4some on the front, 1.5H playing behind no one on the back. Course has really greened up and become much more lush after the summer monsoon season.
Tees lush/level with most divots repaired.
Fairways lush and nice to play from.
Bermuda rough green and decent to play from. Thick, the ball will sit down.
Sand traps excellent. Around the greens plenty of soft white sand. Fairway bunkers more firm.
Large Bermuda greens rolled nicely. Smooth, medium speed and firm.
Nice Fazio layout that is very spread out. Depending on your tee choice, many tee shots hitting over Desertscape. The course plays shorter than the listed yardage because of the elevation and the firmness IMO. Customer service very good on all levels. Usually no Drink cart on weekdays in the summer. Nice restaurant on site. Excellent all grass practice area which includes range balls. Driving range is close to a mile from the Pro Shop and the basic carts do not have GPS. Recommended.
Great course but didn’t play the course promised ! Instead we played the back nine of the Mountain course and the back nine of the Canyon course ! Was disappointed we didn’t play the front nine of the Mountain course. Alex Matusj
Spectacular layout. challenging greens!
Played a combination of the Mountain & Canyon courses due to the recent rain. Course was in immaculate condition, a tribute to the maintenance staff. Great holes, generous fairways, greens putt pure but challenging to judge the speed and break due to the mountain effect. Staff were terrific in determining the sequence of holes to play.
Go play!
19 Holes!
Due to recent heavy rains, many of the holes on the Canyon course were closed, which allowed us to play 6 holes on Canyon and 13 holes on the Mountain course, which is a better course. I stupidly forgot my clubs at home, so I rented a set at the course. The rentals came with a golf glove and balls, which was a very nice touch.
As usual the course was immaculate. We finished in four and a half hours, which isn't bad for a Sunday morning. Only complaint is there was no beverage cart. Nonetheless, I can't wait to play it again.
Best in Tucson
Great shape of the course, no doubt its the best in Tucson area.
Gorgeous Course
The course was maintained beautifully. The views were stunning. The course was challenging. There were areas that were closed for maintenance hence a minor score ding. Otherwise, I'd golf there every chance I could!
Mountain
Rode the Greens with UNCLEDDBOY23 mid morning. Around 100's, overcast, muggy and calm. We set our own pace and did not wait and were not pushed.
Tees level with some thin/bare spots and most divots repaired.
Fairways mostly lush with some thin spots and generally nice to play from.
Bermuda rough mostly green and decent to play from, not maintained high with some thin spots.
Sand traps excellent. Around the greens plenty of soft white sand. Fairway bunkers more firm.
Large Bermuda greens rolled nicely. Smooth, medium fast and firm.
Customer service very good on all levels. No Drink cart today. Very nice restaurant on site. Nice, all grass practice area which includes range balls. Driving range is close to a mile from the Pro Shop and the basic carts do not have GPS. Greens and Sand very good, the rest of the course conditions a step down mid summer.
Nice Fazio layout that is very spread out. Depending on your tee choice, many tee shots hitting over Desertscape. The course plays shorter than the listed yardage because of the elevation and the firmness IMO. Recommended.
Canyon
Rode the Greens with UNCLEDDBOY23 early morning. Very muggy and overcast with little wind.
Tees level but thin with some bare areas.
Fairways mostly lush with some thin areas, usually decent to play from.
Bermuda rough maintained low and generally okay to play from with some thin areas. Not much different from the fairway within 10 yards of the fairway.
Sand traps well maintained with good quality, light sand.
The combination of rain last night, morning dew and top dressed greens made for challenging and uncertain green conditions. The greens were not good when it was wet this morning.
Excellent grass driving range included with the golf. Carts do not have GPS. Customer service very good to excellent from all. No Drink cart today, and they no longer provide bottled water since the water jugs are filled again. Nice restaurant onsite with excellent breakfast specials. Recommended.
Must play just for the views
Decided to splurge and pay the $85 for an 11:00 tee time in Tucson AZ, during the summer. The course had a lot of dry areas which can be expected and some fairways were pretty bare. Greens were decent, most were sanded and had been aerated recently. Having said all that, the layout is a blast with both easy and challenging holes, but the best part are the views. Play the mountain course and you will not be disappointed. Although $85 was a bit steep for the condition of the course, it was still a lot of fun.
Transition from GolfNow to Resort
Great course; however, it felt a bit like they were transitioning away from welcoming the public and mainly focusing on resort guests. Now have to pay for parking, which is generally unheard of in Tucson. Just a bit of a vibe of "unwelcomeness" - if you're not a resort guest, well, we'll tolerate you.
Mountain
Rode the Greens (6537/71.4/139). Low 100's, overcast and calm. POP was under 3.5H twilight. Nice Fazio layout that is very spread out. Depending on your tee choice, many tee shots hitting over Desertscape. The course plays shorter than the listed yardage because of the elevation and the firmness IMO.
Tees level with most divots repaired. Not sure what has happened, but they are now thin with many bare spots.
Fairways mostly lush with some thin spots and generally nice to play from.
Bermuda rough mostly green and decent to play from, not maintained high.
Sand traps excellent. Around the greens plenty of soft white sand. Fairway bunkers more firm.
Large Bermuda greens rolling nicely. Smooth, medium fast and firm.
Customer service good on all levels. Bottled water usually provided. No Drink cart late day. Very nice restaurant on site. Nice, all grass practice area which includes range balls. Driving range is close to a mile from the Pro Shop and the basic carts do not have GPS. Greens and Sand excellent, the rest of the course conditions are mediocre. Still recommended.
