First time playing this course.
It has some interesting holes.
Fairways were in fair shape greens were a little bumpy but not bad speed. Enjoyed the morning it was like having the course to ourselves.
Will play it again
After showing up to the golf course, we were greeted by a very unfriendly man asking what we’re doing there. We said we have a tee time, and he immediately said “no you don’t”. We were shocked. I showed him my GolfNow reservation confirmation and he was confused. After talking to the pro shop he then informed us that we were at the wrong property, even though the confirmation email showed their address and course name. This is not even the fault of the golf course so much as it is GolfNow. They mistakenly had the wrong course set up as our reservation. This Created a rushed situation in which people were uncomfortable and unfriendly. Not exactly the best way to kick off a vacation.
Great 9 hole course. Very picturesque course with narrow fare ways making it a fun, challenging course. Course was in great shape! Will definitely golf here again.
Love this hidden gem
This is a fantastic hidden gem of a 9 hole course. The views are unreal and the course is short, but tight and challenging with lots of elevation changes. Today when I played it the course was in the best shape I've ever seen it in.
Loved this course
My friends and I had a blast playing this course. Jay greeted us as soon as we arrived and was just a gem. We’ll definitely be back.
Best view of the mountains and scenic challenging course.
This is a challenging course for a 9 hole but it is scenic, so you don't mind. Usually pretty easy to get on and play.
Great views and nice golf course
The condition of the course is improving over the years. It is quite a challenging course with a lot of variety among the holes. The views from the course of the Catalina Mountains are spectacular. This is a good course to play if you are at the LEAST a 28 handicap and you only want to golf 9 holes. Our only concern is that poor player frequently play the course since it is only 9 holes and they hit short shots, frequently lose their balls and slow down the pace of play. There is no marshal on the course to keep such players moving by, for example, picking up on the balls without putting if they are holding up several groups of golfers behind them. This should be remedied to improve customer satisfaction on the course.
Challenging nine hole course
The fairways, greens, sand traps, and carts were in excellent condition, and the staff is always very friendly and helpful. This is a nine-hole course, but is pretty challenging (not an executive course). The mountain and valley views are beautiful.
Don't plan on using your driver very often on this 9 hole course. Fairway's are tight and Jumping Cholla boarders the fairways. Beautiful course. Greens were tight and well kept. Fairway grass was well kept as well.
Windy day on a challenging 9 hole course
This 9 hole course is a hidden secret. AS far as I can see it is every bit as difficult as you wish a course to be. Not many people playing it, I guess because it is not marketed or advertised. We were told it will close for the summer, to bad it would be fun to play a quick 9 when it is 95 to 100 degrees. I understand the city of Oro Valley owns the course, they should market this course better if they want more play and profitability. This was great for a quick game while staying at the hotel!
Convenient and well maintained
Played this course a number of times recently. Course is in great shape. Staff friendly. Would highly recommend. Plays in about 2 hours.
Course was in excellent condition. Need more carts and promotions. Need to have golf shop restored and open course earlier AM and remain open through mid afternoon.
We played this course several times last year. The course was in excellent shape back then. That is not what we experienced this time. The Pro Shop was "sharing" space with the Tennis shop. The course was in the worst condition I've ever seen. I will not go back!
Challenging 9 holer
Fun course. Open seasonally. Very few flat lies. Lots of elevation. Probably considered an exec course with just one par 5. Well watered for a desert course.
This course is a train wreck!
My daughter came from San Diego to play this course with me. She had researched on the internet and based on the course's web page, the new golf boards were available. Wrong! we were told that only the two 18 hole courses offered the boards.
We arrived at 8:30 a.m. and had to check in at the tennis shop since the golf shop was locked up. The young lady that checked us in was very nice, but not knowledgeable about golf.
There were no golf carts out and we had to wait for a worker to show up to get us a cart. That's the good news. The condition of the course is very substandard. Has not had anyone working at maintenance.
Layout is good and this could be a good course, but not under this management team.
