Very short 18 hole executive course that took OVER FOUR HOURS to play. Pace of play is ridiculously slow. The gentleman running the pro shop was exceptionally grumpy. And if you read in other reviews that there is food at the course, that means hot dogs and chips only. Much better courses in the area for the same price.
Best Club House
Same owner... first time have been here since new club house. I will tell best in Tucson, fancy.
Golf I walked it, so if you can walk do so.
pace of play, course was packed and I was able to walk on as a single. I waited on front 9, but it was too bad
greens are OK, but it is winter
course over fairways over seeded and are nice
I was not in the bunkers.
It was really wind the day I played
Worst Course in Tucson
I would not be writing a review if I didn't have a horrible experience. The staff was extremely rude. The course was in horrible shape. Please save your money and go somewhere else!!!!!
Horrible course and Horrible Service!!!!!!!!
maybe you should try it now, since they made changes.
Lots of fun
This is a very fun short course. It's a par 3 and par 4 course where you should be able to drive some of the par 4 holes. With most of the holes reachable in 1, the pace of play is a lot faster then normal. I was behind a foursome and still played 18 holes in about 2 hours. This short course also gives you great feedback about your game. If you're not making par on this shorter course it will definitely help you figure out what you need to work on. So, whenever I'm short on time I'll be playing this shorter course.
Dorado golf course
A quaint par 3 that is currently under some minor construction. 3 holes are affected, but only by shortening the holes to around 100 yds to about 130 yds. Great course for iron work, with a few holes needing a fairway wood to reach the green, from the tee box. 2 holes actually need a driver for all but the longest hitters.
Save your money!
The course is in rough shape, the staff treats you like the wish you never walked in.
Value golf for beginner
i played 9 holes for $12 and it was fun. The clubhouse is run down and it looks like the owner isn't planning on remodeling because the upper clubhouse is all boarded up, but would have liked to see it when it was new. Fairways and greens are in good shape, however, there is construction on the course and lots of earth movers and detours on back 9. I would hate to see it redeveloped with new homes as it is an oasis in the middle of town. They actually have 18 holes, not just 9 that you play twice. Mostly short par 3's, but what do you want for $12?
Nice little course for a quick round of golf
I've played here many times and always enjoy the experience out on the course. It is an executive course so it lends itself to a quick 9 or 18. Great for practicing your game in an on-course setting. Prices are reasonable. The best rates are late afternoon. Rainy the day were there, but that is highly unusual for Tucson. Fairways were well groomed. Greens were a tad uneven. The staff is working hard to keep the course in shape. They recently replaced their golf cart fleet. The club house is awful. (the staff is great, the building is awful) Go there for the golf, not the club house experience.
Dorado Country Club a great course!
Dorado Country Club is a great golf course in the middle of town. My wife and I played 18 holes in about 3 hrs. We found it to be perfect for us. A very nice blend of challenging and fun. The staff are very friendly. Dorado is a diamond in the rough.
This is very good course for people trying to get their golf game better. Great location, short course but great overall course
A totsl wreck!
This was probably a pretty good golf course at one time, but has fallen into total disrepair. Clubhouse is falling apart. It has virtually no food service, unless you want lousy hot dogs. The course itself needs a couple of years to regrow grass and replace disappearing cart paths. What a shame!
This will never be Dove Mountain but it is great value for the money. The course was perfect for my wife,, who only plays a few times per year. Also a good course to work on your short game. Greens were in good shape.
Greens in nice shape
Pace of play is very congested but for the money the greens were in nice shape, decent value of an executive course
A relaxing course for the below average player
I played with some local fellows who knew the course well. They warned me of the problem areas on each hole. The fairways were in good shape, quite green. The greens were excellent, although slow by some standards. I would certainly play here again next winter. My only disappointment was the coffee shop/bar was closed at 4:30 when we finished.
Out of towner
Course is a little rough around the edges with many spots with grass worn away. Play was slow but as expected for a Sunday afternoon. Never the less we had a great time. Course was a great value.
wow, u talk about horrible course
Haven't played for almost a year, 1st round since, and the course was just horrible, water In every sand trap, the greens are so bumpy u can't put, was the 1st and last time I will ever play that course
play to wait
have a good time friendly people good pace of play
Not bad for the money
This is a short par 61 course with narrow fairways and small greens. The clubhouse is sadly run down, but the staff was friendly and considerate, sending my twosome out early to get ahead of a foursome. The course condition was average. We finished 18 holes in three hours after soon catching up with another foursome. The short fairways and relaxed atmosphere at this course make it a great place to take beginner.
