A nice walk
First me playing here, used a Hot Deal Tee Time made the night before (Not sure how a $9 round when $16 is the going rate equates to a 62% off, but I can figure out if it's a good deal or not). First off - the check-in: The woman at the desk was on the phone with a customer and instead of politely asking me to wait, which I would have done, she asked me what I needed. I told her I had a Golf Now booking, and kind of rolled her eyes, told me she didn't have the information (without looking at a computer or print-out), handed me a pen and paper and asked me to write down the confirmation number. She asked me if I knew where to go and I said it was my first time here - so she told the person on the phone she needed to hang up and help me. Not sure why she needed to show me where #1 was, since it was right out the door and clearly marked! While waiting on a twosome on the green on #1, she asked if I minded another single join me, which I did not mind. I was told by the single she initially told him "we don't do that", but he rightly insisted so we played together, and had a nice time together.
Pace of play was good. Tee boxes were a bit scruffy, but not unplayable. Greens in good shape. Some of the fairways/rough areas were hit or miss, with bare spots or overgrown rough in some spots. Weird big tree blocking direct line to the pin on #2! Some long par 3s, so not an easy little course. The par 4s were challenging enough - driver is not needed at all. Weird thing about having to cross a major street to get to holes 7-9, but I could use the exercise! I think it would have been another $8 to replay, but I chose not to. Is it worth $24 to walk and play 18 holes here (weekend rate)? In my opinion if you wanted to walk, there are better options for you to spend your $24. At a Hot Deal rate it's worth a trip though.
Great for short game
I really do enjoy playing this course for the money. Sometimes using GolfNow you get a really great deal and this part three course has a lot of tight challenging areas. The value for the money is great especially when you just want to get a par 3, 9 hole in the middle of the day.
Help me put baby!
Really fun, charming course but the greens are hammered they must fix those!!!
Some Greens were Unputtable
Several greens were unputtable. They were missing large patches of grass and were chunky
A majority of the teepads were just hitting out of sand too. Wish they took more care of the tees and greens because the layout can be fun
Lindero
Short course with some interesting holes. Course number 486 for me
A Challenging Par 3 course
This is definitely a tough par 3 course. Being a local, I’ve played here throughout the years and I can say the maintenance of the course has gotten better. It’s just a challenge to play through the endless obstacles whether it be ponds, creeks, sand traps, trees etc. It definitely has a small margin for error and not very forgiving. There are a few holes that are really enjoyable though. The staff is friendly and the different facilities are usually clean and well maintained. All in all, it’s a great bang for your buck, but don’t expect anything overly fancy or enticing. I’m sure I will continue to play this course even with its challenges.
Can’t beat this place.
Kept on seeing this course with a deal on TeeOff for the longest time , and last week decided to finally do something new and go play it. First off super easy to access right off the 101 freeway, ton of good places to eat right near by. The place is so clean and quiet it really is a little oasis tucked in the neighborhood. Driving range is plenty big and well taken care of . They have the coolest chipping green on the backside of the range with a little river running through it , super helpful to get some short game shots up before playin a round. All the practice amenities for that matter are in pristine condition. The course itself is awesome ; just challenging enough to make it real golf (bunkers, water hazards, challenging greens) , but friendly enough to where the new golfer wouldn’t be out of their league if trying to play for the first time. Skinny fairways on two of the front 6, you walk across the street to play 7-9. 7 is where you get to pull out the driver or hybrid. In all Ive played this course 3 times in the past 2 weeks and each time I left with a smile and a great day of golf.
It's getting better!
I have not played here in about 4 years or so and was a little disappointed then. It's looks like the upkeep is getting better and me and my girlfriend had a good time playing today. It was a little muddy at some parts, but with all the rain we have gotten, it was good. The T box for # 4 were only at around 150 yards. This is a par 4, so I scored a birdie ;-), so no complaints..haha! It's not an easy course at all, but it gives you challenges and a nice little walk on a nice day. Be aware that the last 3 holes is on the other side of the street. We will be back very soon :-)
Fun round with my new back up clubs
It was fun playing with my new set of clubs
A quick 9
I was in Malibu for an event, and instead of sitting in traffic on my way home, I decided to use the time wisely. I saw this course on GolfNow for $14.
For such a low green fee, this was a fun course. Lots of water hazards and bunkers to avoid. The greens were full of ball marks so I tried to fix as many as possible while I practiced putting. After Hole 6, you have to go through the parking lot, walk across the street to Holes 7-9.
1st time, on vacation
Incredible value. Greens rolled well and the course was in solid shape.
Great Neighborhood Course
Love coming by to play 9 holes here. Somewhat challenging par 4’s too that make it fun and longer. Will definitely be back!
