Good for short game practice
Enjoyed playing here…course was in pretty good shape!
Great practice course
As a 1 yr newbie player, it was perfect to practice. No pressure to speed up . I ended up playing along with a nice couple who play here a lot. They said the course condition has improved quite a lot with new management. I enjoyed playing here.
Good for a quick 9
Nice course, has 2 par 4. Good for short game work.
New management is amazing!
I recently returned to lindero after a year. The course was always a great little par 3 where you can get some exercise and work on irons. I must say it’s that and more. The fairways were great especially for a local par 3 course. The greens were in great shape, rolled true, and had much more break to them than the past. The driving range has plenty of open mats. You cannot beat the price of lindero and the course maintenance has truly been upgraded!
What you’d expect
Cool little 9 hole with longer holes than I expected. Nice variety and some challenging greens. Fun to run through twice. Replay was 10 dollars.
Very challenging executive course
Not for beginners because it has plenty of natural hazards, lakes and streams and also nearby houses.. But it is a beautiful course.
Some interesting holes that test skill
Although this course gets a lot of play on weekends from less-experienced golfers and can be slow at times., the greens usually are in good shape and most holes can challenge the regular player. Played from the back blue trees, the first two holes are pretty simple and straightfoward as is # 9. But Number 3 is a 170 yard par three that has a trap and a barranca to capture shots either left or too long. Plus a trap and tree to navigate around for shots right of the green. Number 4 is a very short par 4 that can be driven if willing to risk a tumble in the creek if short or right. Laying it up onto the narrow fairway with trouble both left and right isn't easy. Plus even a nicely played lay up requires accuracy and distance control on the second shot to a postage stamp green. Number 5 is a par 3 which swallows up short or left shots into the creek, has trap or tree troubles for anything to the right and straight shots too long run off the sloping green into trouble. Number 6 is a 195 par three from the blues that requires threading a tee shot through trees and then carrying it 180 yards in the air to clear the water. The alternative is fading it to avoid the water which then risks either sand or a creek. Feel relieved to get past that hole without having a penalty shot. Number 7 is another par four that requires a precision tee shot. Slightly left of center gets the pond and going right of center right means going over a big tree on the second shot, which if hit usually means the ball falls into the creek behind the tree., Number 8 is a par three with a big pond guarding the left side. The right side has tree troubles and if you're too long, the pitch shot is to a green that slopes down to the pond. I've managed to get into some form of trouble in at least two of those five holes just mentioned every time I've played this course. A player who comes in at 3 over par or less on this course is a good golfer.
Fun Course for the Non Serious Golfer
I played the nine holes with my now grown up son on a perfect sunny January afternoon. The course is very nice and weaves in and out of an Agoura neighborhood. It was challenging enough for occasional golfers like us, and the course has some interesting twists and turns. We also want to stay clear of the impatient golfers that frequent the more demanding courses. In any event, the other golfers here were very friendly and everyone was just enjoying a nice afternoon outdoors, which is what it is all about for us.. The staff is also very friendly.
Hidden gem
Great par 3 for the money. Greens hold and roll true. I will put this one in the rotation for sure!
Go with kids
They had kids playing some sort of soccer ball game -
Nice Executive Course
Nice variety of holes. Not your typical par three...
