The price for nine hole walking is extremely expensive. No discount for a replay. Played the old course weekly. Will likely not play the new course at all.
Can't wait for the back 9
A gorgeous day. Noticed some shaky golfers teeing off in front of us, so expected a long round. But, we never waited on one shot & easily finished in 2 hours. Loved the design. Greens are a little too dramatic, but they were in great condition as was the course in general. Very surprised at some of the low ratings. The Tee-Off rate was more than reasonable. I understand the non-local regular rate is pretty pricey, but would likely still be worth it.
Great condition
Still in great condition. Not a hard course if you stay in the fairway, rough is tough: large undulating greens.
Just opened North Course at Corica
Re-opened on 10/14/2021 so course is still in great shape, though we did notice quite a few old divot marks on one of the greens. Large undulating greens, pick your landing spots well; greens were fast and dropped of around. And fairways rolled for most of the par 4, 5s. First group out so pace was all us, staff was friendly to the level of my engagement with them and didn’t need any amenities. Though heard the french toast is good in restaurant. Will recommend to others, but $49 for 9 holes is pretty steep and so you will have to keep the club in fantastic shape for me to return a year1/2 from now.
No carts
First time playing the remodeled north course. Only 9 holes available. When I purchased it said cart was included but the course does not allow carts since the cart paths have not been implemented yet. Normally not a big deal but the person I was playing with requires a cart due to his disability. Wish I could have gotten a coupon for free carts or something….
New Front 9 is amazing
The new North Course front 9 is amazing. The back 9 isn’t open yet.
Good challenge, overpriced
Played the newly opened front 9 on the North Course. Brand new greens roll true, approaches are challenging with lots of moguls. Keep it in the fairway or your ball is lost in the deep grass. Surrounded by busy streets - not “bucolic” but a nice urban course. ~$45 to play 9 holes on a weekday afternoon.
Course has gone downhill
Corica Park course is under construction and I was not told when I booked the tee time.
We played the front nine twice.
The course itself was in poor condition with fairways having many barren spots.
The cart path was full of huge bumps.
This used to be a very good course but may return when the construction is finished.
Not worth it
I understand that Corica is undergoing huge renovations but the fact that they don't even cut the fairways on the north course is tough to play on. Not knowing that this was the case, I never would have paid to play. Also no cart usage when carts were included with the reservation and no need to inform the players ahead of time.
13 months later
It’s been 13 months and wow the new improvements and on going ones now on the north side offer a super cheap repeat of 9 holes.
Wait until the restoration is finished.
The Earl Fry Course only has 9 old holes open as they remodel. The fairways are bumpy. The course attracts beginners who are very slow. The bathrooms are a mess.
The new South Course looks very nice. Play there.
It's Chuck
The course is a little beat up, some of the fairways are ribbed like a washboard, but it's a good location, and it's a nice place to play, if you have 5+ hours.
I've seen marshals roaming the course, but I've never seen them ask a group to speed up or skip a hole. If you mention the pace of play to them, they smile and drive away, like they've already got your money, so why should they care? This is not terribly different from many other courses, but it makes me want to play elsewhere, where starting times are spaced out a bit better.
Never Again
I booked a tee time through Golf Now and arrived at the course only to be told by the guy in the proshop that the rain 2 days prior had forced them to close the front 9 on the course we booked. He said the back 9 was open and we could play twice and only pay the 9 hole rate. Whatever, I just wanted to golf.
The course was destroyed, and there was water on every hole. I should have just turned around, but I figured it would get better.
It didn't.
The fact that they didn't give any warnings that the part of the course they opened was unplayable (lost balls in the fairway because the puddles were so deep) is egregious. Never touching this course again...
Great Beginners Course
This is a great Beginners golf course for those that are just starting out. This is not the easiest course, there are some challenging over water holes, along with a few dogleg holes. They are currently beginning restoration work on the North Course, but still playable.
