Another fun outing with the kids
I cannot say enough of how accommodating Rancho Canada is with families with junior golfers. I understand that it makes for slower pace of play but they do a great job of finding tee times in between groups to minimize the impact on other golfers. Excellent staff with friendly smiles. I also love the course. It is challenging for me and yet still playable for my kids (8 & 11). Some areas could use some TLC but overall, the course looks and plays quite nicely. Keep it up
When the wind blows, watch out....
Lots of narrow driving holes, especially on the back. Greens and fairways in excellent condition!
Couple of notes:
Charge a deposit of $3 for a cart fee - no big deal, but odd...
Starter the day I played was having a bad day. He walked over to the putting green and was very rude to the guy next to me who was chipping (no signs saying no chipping here). Thought he could have asked nicely and gotten his point across just as well.
Clubhouse staff could not have been friendlier though...
Very nice course and good conditon
It was so nice golf course and beautiful .
But so cloud at this time
A beautiful setting
We had a wonderful day of golf. The weather was perfect, course conditions were good, and your price was excellent. As women we didn't feel particularly welcomed at first but the course starter was wonderful and the day was outstanding.
A splendid walk...
We enjoy playing at Rancho Canada and do so once a week when during our annual summer stay on the peninsula. However, we would play more often if there was a bit more maintenance performed on the course and the pace of play shortened. We do enjoy the course setting...
A great value for the money
One of the most cost friendly courses on the Monterey Peninsula. A nice mix of challenging holes, as well as easier holes. A fair test of golf. Teed off at 2:36 and completed the round in 4 hours on a Saturday afternoon. Yay!
great place to golf
The course was very nice and I think next time I'll walk instead of riding.
WINDEY DAY
GOOD COURSE FOR THE MONEY. 1ST TIME THERE.
SOME TRICKEY HOLES. CART PATHS NEED WORK.
PLAYED EAST COURSE. BUNKERS WERE HARD PACK,. ENJOYED THE COURSE.
Rancho Cañada West
Rancho Cañada West is a great place to play, for all levels. Even for beginners like me.
Loved it !!
Arrived early, greeted friendly, and
was allowed to go out... Paired with
friendly young lady, we enjoyed it ...
Course in great shape, moved along quite
well, can't wait to go back..
Great Value
I don't think there is a better value round of golf than a hot deal at this course! Great time!
Over the waterless river!
Take extra balls if you are intimidated by having to fly your ball over 150 yards.
Fun course to play lots of interesting challenge 's
Great course
Foggy in the morning. Sunny in the afternoon. Windy in the evening. The east is a more difficult course then west. Play with a bright ball otherwise fear losing the ball in the daisies on the fairway. Great course.
Vey playable
Very playable but don't get in the trees. Greens are in good shape. Tee boxes need some work.
A very scenic track.
Very enjoyable round. This course is more challenging than one might think. I like it better than the East Course.
Short, easy, fun. Great conditions. Great value.
Rancho Canada keeps their fees very reasonable. And both courses are very well maintained. So it's a great deal. And both courses are fun.
The West Course has a few genuinely challenging holes. Narrow windows, tight fairways, OB lurking. But overall, with slope ratings of 122 and 124... these are not courses to test a low handicapper. The East Course is VERY playable for ALL skill levels. If you've never broken 80 (or 90, etc.) and you want to achieve that milestone, then come play the East Course. You'll do it. But... is that as satisfying as posting a low round at a more robust track? Maybe. Maybe not.
If you're a short hitter, or just want a relaxed, fun round of golf in a great setting, come play Rancho.
Fun day
Enjoyed the framed tee shots between tees lines. Windy due to fog bank overhead.
Rancho East
Always a pleasure to play this one. Pro shop staff A+ and starter was friendly and on time. Nice practice facility too. No issues here.
GOOD DAY AT RANCHO CANADA
We had a great day at Rancho C - East. Weather was great, course is in very fine shape. Thank goodness the starter had us move ahead of a more challenged foursome. We were through in 3 1/2 hours. Will be back to play the West in about a month.
east course
This was my first time playing the course and I had a wonderful time. I am a novice golfer and I felt that it was a manageable course that myself and my more experienced friends could both enjoy. Beautiful greens and fun but challenging holes. The east is easier than the west.
