East at Rancho Canada Golf Club

The value of playing, either the west or east course, is what brings us back. We are a retired foursome of old farts living on a budget. The price is right. We also know beauty when we see it. These courses, located in carmel valley, are lovely and well-kept.

There is the East and the West Course here so pick your poison if you can only play one but i recommend you play both and try playing one in twilight hours on a sunny day the sunsets and the view are worth every penny. On each course you cross over the river a couple of times and in some fairways you are shooting through some narrow gaps so choice your placement of each shot carefully so you do not block yourself out. Both courses are walk-able and I recommend you do this since the scenery is worth taking a stroll on. The greens got punched in late March 2016 so by the time most of you read this they should be in really good shape. Just make sure you make a good mental note of where you hit your ball if you are not in the fairway because the ball will sit down in this rough.

Good value coure, flattish several excelent holes... makes the. golfer think out his club selection, signage as where to go next after certain greens for first timer need to be better. Last hole into setting sun a tricky proposition. Greens good, not quick not slow.
West course a tighter option, but East has one or two holes that are rated higher in difficulty.

Played behind the slowest four-some ever. By the time we finished (5 hours) there were 2 open holes ahead of them. It was a Sat., but 5hours is just to slow.

Other than the cottonwood trees blowing white cotton and loose sticks all over the greens. This course was amazing. Myself and my friends from Argentina enjoyed our day playing 18 holes. Loved it for the price. We played the West course which was more difficult than the east.

There are 36 holes at Canada Ranch. Both courses have their own distinct challenges. Course conditions are typically excellent. This is by far the best value in the monterey area!

I play this course quite a bit. Nice place to play, but I scheduled a tee time with golfnow and the morning we were suppose to play, I received a cancellation of my round in my email. When I called golfnow I was told that the course had called them and cancelled. If you have friends driving in from out of area this could be an issue. Fortunately in this area it's not hard to find an equal to or better course that you can count on. Otherwise fun course.

Unbelievable, how a course can be set in a great location and yet not be maintained to its fullest capabilities. Great greens, tee boxes kept up, as they were being mowed as we were playing. Fairways!!! White dandelions everywhere!! Thick rough-same! Try finding a ball in that. Got a little frustrated if you catch my drift. Carry extra balls, lol.

Very nice course. Mostly locals too which says something in the Carmel area.

Nice day, good conditions for January! Would definitely recommend to others. We played the east course. Amazing Value on Golf Now!

2 different nines on the west side. Front is a relatively simple layout with a splash of water, a spit of sand and some green undulations. Back is like playing in your hallway. Condition is average and scenery is adequate. Overall, a pleasant day on the course, however there are a lot of better options in Monterey.

The staff was friendly and very helpful.The course was in good shape especially considering the rain in the previous week.
The pace was not the best due to certain rude golfers (walking with wife & child) who seemed unaware of twosome in carts waiting on every hole. A marshal on course would have helped.

Nice overall condition. Standing water in the bunkers.leef coverd fairways make it tuff to find balls even on the fairway. Nothing that will stop me from playing again though

I was skeptical when I saw it was so inexpensive but I showed up at 7am and played the east course. Not terribly long or difficult but great condition greens and fairways. Tees a bit uneven but very playable. Wish the "river" had water but the drought has kept it dry. Definitely will be back to play again. Fun mid level course for all experience levels! Pro shop was very well stocked as well.

Great value with online booking. Staff was very helpful. Started on the East Course and got behind a tournament of men which stacked up the groups. The starter came out and took us over to the West Course which was wide open. Very thoughtful.

Course was in great condition. Greens were quite speedy.
Some narrow on the West's back nine.

Golf Now is a very good service. I would recommended your service to everyone. The golf course has the reservation in the CPU and your done in a flash. Will continue to use your system.

Please add this golf club to the Ca. courses as it takes longer to book then it takes to register at the golf course.

What a price our foursome had great time greens rolling true fast play we will always go on last min golfer to make a tee time thanks
