Ocean Views & Breezes!
WOW! Great course, unlike many who claim "ocean", this course actually has multiple holes along side or playing towards the ocean.
Very tight course, in the old days instead of balata balls, bring ALOTTA BALLS!
Greens are small and undulating, and though it it short even from the gold tees, bring your a-game.
Ocean course
Beautifull layout but quite narrow and lots of OB due to closeness of houses adjacent to the fairways. ☹️
Ocean side holes are nice, but beware of beach visitors crossing the fairways.
Very friendly staff. Overall pleasant experience.
Want to Play It Again
First time to play the Ocean and can't wait to return to this area and play it again. The course is challenging and fun. The Ocean holes re beautiful although I'm not a fan of back-to-back par 3's; especially since I was 1-over going into the first one and left with a snowman. Wind was hard crossing and two balls into the heavy extreme brush and rough to the left made hash of me. The next par 3 has a sloping green that is very difficult to pay, much less keep the ball on the green. Ended up with a big number, but still enjoyed the course.
Best Ever!
The setting is absolutely gorgeous. My cart mate said it is almost as beautiful and interesting as Pebble Beach,
This was the very best golf course experience of my life!
5 hour round
Tee times too close, 5 hours on a short course. Clubhouse closed at return 6:40. Spectacular ocean views make up for poor fairway and tee box conditions. Great greens.
GC review
Greens in good shape. Overall Course condition very dry and not manicured At all. Tees very lumpy with high grass. Fairways not impressive at all seems totally dried out. Holes by ocean pretty cool. Just seemed very unkempt but has so much potential.
5 Amazing Oceanfront Holes and a Course in Need of TLC
For $150 peak season charge, this course is nowhere near worth it. when I inquired, I was told mid-March started peak season. The 5 oceanfront holes are absolutely amazing though. Overall, you must drive it straight here. It may be only 6,100 yards from the back tees but it's the longest 6,100 you'll ever play. The greens are brutally sloped and quite fast which helps a little bit make up for the bad shape of the tee boxes and the fairways/rough. The bunkers are actually nice and raked. I'd like to see Omni invest as they have the resources. IF you start, make the starting point the driving range for repairs, because it was atrocious and taking the balls away at 1-1:30 was disgusting since people pay good money to play there.
Nonetheless, I'd still recommend this to anyone given the ocean holes. Not even at Kiawah Island's Ocean Course do you get this close to the beach!

Beautiful Ocean Holes
This is a wonderful layout with 4 or 5 holes along the ocean. Although it's a short course, it makes up for that with challenging greens and ocean breezes. A great value for the money with Golfnow rates.
Challenging Course with great beachline scenery
Unfortunately it was a wet day and following a texas scramble did not help the pace of play. However the staff explained that we were following an organised event and the starter and marshalls did their best to keep the groups in front moving particularly as some appeared not to be regular golfers. In particular John was very attentive and came back several times to make sure we were aware of the slow play ahead. My wife and I enjoyed the challenge and we will return to play the course again as we did not see it at its best. In good condition despite the overnight rain with tricky undulating greens.
never a bad time at amelia
I've played here 5 times and never had a bad time. And the deal I got from golf now even made it better. Will be back when in the area.
Great Day of Golf
I was so happy the way we were treated. The course was great the ocean views were awesome and the course was fun to play.
very nice course my group had a great time, we will be back to play again.
incredible views
this course is a 'treat'. You will find it hard to find better vistas as 5 or 6 holes play along the ocean (beach). We spent a lot of time taking pictures. Generally the course is short but many tighter fairways and wind make it tougher than you would anticipate.
Lots of wildlife (hawks/sandpipers etc). Tee boxes were quite well maintained as are the greens which are tricked up. If you know the greens it would be easier to play as there are some crazy slopes.
Distances are not well marked, ie no distance posts (just in ground) and a better mapping of the holes would be nice. All in all though it is breathtakingly beautiful and staff is terrific.
Great replay course
I played this after playing the Oak Marsh course, which is much nicer. Course was empty, and I was a single so zipped around.
Overall, the course is fairly short, but has 2 long par 4s from the tips, and does has a fair amount of WOW holes but a lot of mediocre ones.
The views by the Ocean are great, and with the wind can make some holes VERY difficult.
Not sure I would want to pay more than 50 bucks for this one, if you have a choice, play the Oak Marsh course.
Amazing
The entire place was amazing. From the staff to the tee boxes fairways and greens. You will not be disappointed. The scenery of the ocean to the beautiful homes along the course. Very wonderful. Will definitely be back there soon
