Not as good as it used to be....
Sorry to see that Indigo has gone back to the poor conditions it had when in was in bankruptcy a number of years ago. New ownership fixed it up nicely, good fairways and greens were the norm. Alas coming back to play this year we see the greens with dirt patches an lots of weeds.
The course in a nice layout but the overall conditions are poor. We called for 2 putt maximums on the green to account for the shape they were in.
Here is to hoping they wake up and take care of a very nice golf course.
Poor
Sorry hit wrong button ok got cussed at for holding people up but couldn't play faster because of the people in front of me .. very mad and discusted at rude ppl left b4 I finished 8th hole probably will never go there again
A favorite Course
This review is a bit bittersweet as this was my recently passed Brother In Laws favorite place to play. In honor of him I chose to play here on the 15th of November. The day started off pretty well, I hate golfing alone but no one was available so off I went., figuring I would get paired up at the course. Nope, played alone....never saw another golfer until the tee box of hole 11, when I finally saw the twosome ahead of me on the 12th green, but they played nearly as quickly as I do and I never caught them. The fairways were great as always, the teeboxes had some issues and the greens were a little haggard....weather issues, possibly? Not unplayable, just unexpected as this course is usually immaculate. It did not detract from the round though so no harm - shot a nifty 80 and was finished inside of 2.5 hours
Looking Good
Course is coming back after the hurricane, greens still need a little work, but overall, great value!!!!
What happened?
The course layout was good and the fairways and tees were okay. The greens were TERRIBLE! I would never have played this course if I had known.
Shamefull !
Great shame for a once outstanding and historic course ! Tee boxes , fairways and cart paths all in need of serious attention . Greens ( even at this time of year ) are worst in area . Sand traps , for the most part , should be ruled ground under repair . Some even had grass starting to take root . Others consisted of very hard packed sand or dirt . Unless there are immediate measures taken to address these issues , most locals will choose other options in the area .
Golf Outing at Indigo Lakes
Greens not good at all. Not worth the price to play.
WHAT HAPPENED IN 2 SHORT YEARS....
My previous review was positive in the extreme, this course had turned around with new ownership in 2013. The course steadily improved, staff were professional, knowledgeable and plentiful., new general manager two years ago, since, NO driving range pass, NO large bucket of balls, ( awkward carrying two small baskets), NO members, MINIMUM staff, ), this year, WOW, what a disappointment, greens are the worst in the area.
The course has gone massively downhill
Guys, spend your money somewhere else. If this golf course was offered free for 18 holes it still wouldn't be worth it. Every single green has so many weeds growing in them they resemble cabbage patches! All bunkers currently should be GUR, until such time that money can be invested to get them up to a playable standard. Sad to report this golf club is on its knees. Spend your dollars elsewhere.
Course Going Downhill Fast
Course used to be in great shape. Greens are now lost with weeds growing on most of them. As you can see from the reviews, they’re aware of the problem, but have offered no specifics that they’re going to fix it. Also, they now close at 2pm Wed-Sun and are closed all day on Mondays and Tuesdays. It seems like they’re giving up on the course. It’s too bad, it used to be one of the best courses in Daytona.
Indigo
I have played Indigo many times and have always enjoyed the course, however this triune the greens were simply awful making putting almost impossible... very disappointing!
Fairways were ok but again not up to previous rounds. Hopefully work will be done to get course back to where it should be and where it was
Don't waste your money here
Unbelievable how a really nice course could go so bad. Traps loaded with weeds, grass and weeds 18 inches tall around all the sand traps, rough not cut at all, The greens could be called the browns as little or no grass on the greens yet loaded with weeds popping thru. Fire ants were everyehere, rough, fairways, and even a frew greens. I usd to love playing here, now you couldn't pay me to play. There are too many courses in the area in good to great shape for the same dollars. I hope they fix this course but looks like a lot to do to get it back into playable condition.
Course
Played this course for the first and hopefully only time. Enjoyed the course layout but the greens are terrible. The grass on them if non-existent. Back nine fairways were spectacular
Recent rains have prevented mowing leaving many areas with grass in excess of 5 inches even around greens. Greens are rough,
Amazing Condition
Course is in fantastic condition and was not busy at all on Saturday morning. Only challenge was cart path only.
Soggy Walk
I love playing the Indigo course. It has come a long way over the last several years. I didn’t realize it had closed after Irma came through. Work had been so busy post storm that I didn’t have time anyway.
I played this Saturday and while I know that Indigo doesn’t drain well, the track was exceptionally soggy fairway and rough alike. I conducted a self imposed cartpath only rule as my first 90* crossing the fairway I thought the cart was going to get stuck, not to mention the tire troughs I left behind.
The rough was a touch longer than usual and my playing partners and I “lost” more than our share of balls that disappeared into that rough even though only a yard out of the fairway. It’s ok to lose balls that you hit poorly, but the frustration of losing balls that were not bad shots was disappointing.
We strolled through our round in 3.5 hours which is always a bonus. Never pushed, never waiting. Greens were good, speed a little slow and soft to hold our approaches.
Overall a good day at the course.
For a good time
You must play this course. Great layout and staff
Indigo Lakes Golf Outing
Fairways were a little wet. Greens not in great shape. Could use yardage markers in some of the fairways.
Played Oct 25th, seems that the course has gone downhill from earlier this year, weeds growing in the traps and long grass all around the traps as well, weeds all over the fairways, large ant hills in the middle of some fairways too, rough is too long and hard to spot your ball if you go off.....hope they bring it back before it's too late
