Very nice layout
Course was very wet. The greens were terrible. The rough was very high. This course was in very good shape in August but has become one of the worst since then.
Unplayable!!
This course is unplayable in its current condition. Hurricane Irma left a big mess and the staff has not put enough effort into the recovery.
Very poor greens
Greens were weedy with very little grass; was like putting on a burnt-out fairway. Rough was very long. Wondered why no one else was playing. Have played this course the last several years at this time and the course has always been okay before. Like the course and hope they can take the time and spend the money to get this course back into the good shape it has been in the past.
Terrible conditions
I'm thinking hurricane Irma really did this course in. Or the owners did not want to recover from it. Only played 9 and was not given any type of discount...the course was completely empty and after playing I saw why. The tee boxes had red ants throughout and the greens were patchy and rough. I would not recommend anyone go to this course until you look at a few holes before paying/playing.
downhill
unfortunately the course has not weathered storms and use well over the last five years. bare spots and weeds on greens, rough that if it it has been cut was way too long. The course was soaking wet , in spite of no rain the night before. Traps had little or no sand.
This was about 2 weeks after hurricane Irma , so there are some excuses , but it will take a while before |I will consider playing again.
Good course falling into disrepair
I have played this course for 30 years back to when this was the home of the LPGA.I had heard this course had was in bad shape after the LPGA left, but found it in great shape 3 yrs.ago I returned to play it in 2015 and 2016 and still found it a good test.Sadly to say conditions have taken a turn for the worse as the greens have become infested with weeds and bare spots. The putting surfaces are now bumpy. The fairways and bunkers are still ok.Hopefully they will turn things around but this was the only course I played over holiday weekend that I would not recommend. This is not the review I wanted to post,as this is a great course, but now I say beware.
nice layout
greens were done not long ago so very slow and bumpy
Good Course to play, but
The course is a fun course to play. There was no cart sales on the course. This is the second week I have played this course and beverage service on the course is non existent. When the temperature is in the 90's a beverage cart on the course would be nice.
Also the course could be made better if there were markers placed at 200, 150 and 100 yards on all fairways. A couple of fairway had markers. They need to be on all fairways on the course.
Golf Outing at Indigo Lakes
Challennging course in good shape but some of their greens are amost gone. Would be helpful to have yeardage markers in all of the fairways.
Greens
Greens were very rough, layout of course was nice with service slow with no ranger and didn't open doors until 7 w t time at 707
good value
as an average golfer I find this course layout very good for my level of play and the price is attractive. Also it wasnt too crowded
Golf Day at Indigo Lakes
Great deal on a great course. Course is in great shape. The only issue I have with the course is lack of yardage markers on many of the fairways.
Course has a great layout and could be enjoyable
The greens need some work with weeds and crabgrass. It appears a decision has been made to narrow the fairways. In my opinion not the best decision on some holes. I think some holes would be better to shape and the fairways, this is not a PGA tournament course.
Quick Enjoyable Round
First the obvious - Florida's severe weather conditions have left a few greens in rough shape and others slower than expected. We played within a half hour of a downpour and the course drained exceptionally well with only the rough showing any wetness.
The layout fit many of our tee shots with only 3 or 4 major doglegs making GIR a real challenge. Water only came into play a couple of times, which pleased my wife immensely.
We totally enjoyed our round beginning with the starter allowing us to go off as a twosome and 20 minutes ahead of our scheduled time. This meant finishing much earlier while playing in just over 3 1/2 hours.
We 've added Indigo Lakes to our "must play" list the next time we stay in or drive through the Daytona Beach area.
Course is in great shape.
Fairways and greens in great shape. Watch on greens they are slow but putt true. Due to time we playes pretty much had course to ourselves. Will definitely will go back.
Great Value
Greens and fairways were in good shape, tee boxes could have been a little better. 4-some took about 3:45 for our round, starter got us out right on time (7:15 tee time).
Only negative I have for the course: We had the 3rd tee time of the day at 7:15 and the pro shop didn't open until 7 am. The first several groups off did not have a chance to hit the range before going out.
This course was a great experience
We played this course three times and found it easy to follow. The folks were friendly and helpful.
I'm assuming you work at the course. The greens are in bad shape. Not excellent. And the rough needs to be redone.
