Good Deal
Course is a good deal for any golfer. Maintained better in winter months than in summer, I would guess to accommodate the snowbirds.
Poor conditon
Greens, fairways, and sand were all very poorly maintained. The layout is nice but the course itself needs work. I know this is still slightly off season, so it is possible it would be better in summer.
Worst shape!
I've never played a golf course in worse shape. There was NO grass on most tee boxes and the fairways? we're not much better. While I only payed $18 per person, the annoyance at the horrible conditions was not even worth that. Please either sell this or close it down. This course is an embarrassment.
Felt course was not in good condition
Tee boxes were mostly sand very little grass. Fairways brown. Was very disappointed as I played there in 2006 & 2007 course was much better.
Pelican bay north course
More like a cow pasture, more weeds than grass, 3 greens were in good shape the rest had mold. Every tee box was dirt no grass left. It used to be a beautiful place would never return!
Great value
Great little course for the money. Some tee boxes are in rough shape but the rest is decent. It's close by And challenging with water on the sides.
Poor conditions
Played this course last year and liked the layout a lot, but many greens had huge disease spots, the bunkers were either muddy or hard and many tee boxes were just sand. Played this year and nothing changed. The conditions were the same if not slightly worse. This is sad because the layout is challenging, including an island green on a par 4. For the money, there are many better courses in the area.
Disappointing
Not a lot of grass on most holes.
50 % Greens have disease or frost damage.
50 % of the tee boxes are sand...
None of the traps have very much sand nor were they raked...
When I finished and took my shoe off they looked like they were sandblasted clean.
Disappointing.
Plan on a 5 hour round.
Course was in fair condition. It has been very dry this winter and it looks like there isn’t much watering being done except for the greens. Many of the tee boxes were just dirt, no grass. Some greens were ok, some were very patchy. Biggest problem was that there was a foursome of women who were extremely slow and had the entire 18 hole trip backed up. Most of the time we were sitting behind the tee box while a twosome was waiting on the tee , who were waiting for a twosome midway down the fairway who were waiting for a two or foursome on the green. It took us just about 5 hours to complete the round.
Management needs to do a better job of pairing up twosomes and speeding up foursomes to keep the pace of play reasonable. We just barely finished before dark.
Save your money
Course was in bad condition and was crazy busy. Played only 14 holes after almost 5 hours.
Pelican Bay South
Very nice challenging course in pretty good shape and reasonably priced
