Pelican Bay South
Course needs major work over. Many other courses around for around the same $$$ in much better condition and a much better value. Look elsewhere. Would not recommend.
Good value for the price.
Some tee boxes were dirt, roughs were too high, most greens needed maintenance. Parred us up with a great couple so we had a great time.
Good layout
Nice track....fairways poor ...tees even poorer Greens good. For the money...not bad.. sad no money is being put into the course. Greens haven’t been aerated in a while...like concrete
Staff excellent
This place could be real good if money was put into the course conditions..
Don’t go
Course in terrible shape. Tee boxes mostly sand with little grass. Fairways are lean on grass also. Not sure it was worth the “hot deal” price.
Good course
Good value and close to home. Will play golf again.
Pelican Bay South
Pelican Bay South had a reputation for being in poor condition. However in recent months the staff and the ownership have invested time and money into making it a very playable track.
The conditions have improved significantly and the layout is very nice, it even has a neat island green on hole number 15.
The biggest drawback for me is the overall length, it is only 6000 yards from the tips. However if you are a senior or a lady that might appeal to you.
Also, a few of the greens are a bit spotty, however all of the greens role very well. In addition, the rough on some holes could be mowed more often. However on that note, if I hit it in the Fairway more often that might solve the rough problem!
Green fees range from 15 to $25 based on the time, day, or season. Though this course does not compare to some of the better courses in the area, for the money it is a very good value!
So so
Average course - easy to lose balls that are just off the fairway - the rough is too deep and just slows down play ...
some of the tee boxes were dirt - maybe under repair but weren’t marked as such ... if I hadn’t played at a discounted rate I might not have been too pleased.. however, the starter was awesome. I was quite a bit early for my tee time and he sent me out right away to beat the rain... which I did . Thankyou Mr. starter....
Golf For All
This is a fun course, with plenty of challenges for all ability players. The fairways and greens are in good shape but the bunkers are not. Many are unplayable so I simply didn't...but this seems to be becoming more and more common here at Daytona area courses. Outside of that, and a couple of bald tee boxes, the course is in good shape and fun to play !
Challenge Yourself
With a little TLC this could be a great course to play. As it is it has great challenge , just needs the tee boxes re seeded and fungus on the greens treated.
