Bent Creek Golf Course
About
Since the opening of Bent Creek Golf Course in 1989, the 6,420-yard, par-71 course has provided a challenging golf experience for residents of Northeast Florida and visitors alike.
Crafted by renowned architect Bobby Weed with consulting services by Mark McCumber, Bent Creek's meandering terrain takes golfers through a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, towering pines and alongside creeks and swales. The championship layout boasts Bermuda grass greens, plush fairways and a state-of-the-art lighted practice facility - home of the Bent Creek Golf Academy.
From the back tees, Bent Creek carries a rating of 71.6 and a slope of 136. The challenge starts with the first hole, which measures 538 yards from the gold tees, just 20 yards short of No. 15, the longest hole on the golf course.

Pretty good shape
One or two greens have been repaired and one or two tee boxes could do with some repair but overall the course is in really good shape.
Golfers could do a lot to help keep the greens in good shape by fixing their divots. The number of divots left on the greens is astronomical and it only takes a second to fix yours and one other.
Pace of play was very slow on this day. "Ready Golf" should be mandatory. Quit sitting in the cart waiting for the others in your party to address and hit their shot. Grab your range finder and a couple clubs and be ready to play. If your partner has not played by the time you are ready, swing away, swing away.
Nice for neighborhood round with friends
Bent Creek is a nice layout with multiple tee boxes to suit golfers of all skill levels and ambitions. The trees are often thick framing both sides of the fairways and water will come into play, sometimes as a surprise to first time players unfamiliar with the layout. The greens were somewhat tricky with significant breaks on mostly small and elevated greens.
The golf carts are gas, not electric, but clean and well maintained. The pro shop is small and typical of neighborhood courses. Food and beverages after the round are quite limited, so the pub area is suited more for gat-and-go than anchoring down.
Overall, a fine value and nice, professional staff.
Stay in the Fairway!
Great course and mid-week not real busy....we had a 2-some ahead and a 2-some behind - and we were a 2-some. Greens were fair but FAST. Sand traps...I was only in one and unfortunately is was wet sand which ruins the sand experience - not from rain more likely from sprinklers. Fairways were in good. Loads of water and woods on this course so keep it in the fairway. Playing safe leads to lower scores here. Overall, great time, will return.
Great Course!
Just moved to area and decided to play course for the first time. Staff was much friendlier than I was expecting. Shout out to Sal! Course layout was nice with a few challenging hole. Only negative was pace was a little slow causing guys behind us to get a bit antsy. Even hit up on us which was not cool. Other than that great course to play mid day.
Enjoyed round
Front nine real slow… 9 holers left so a bit faster on back
Nice golf coutse
The golf course is very nice and in good shape . The two women’s bathrooms on the course need a lot of work
Pace of play was very poor today. Foursome in front were each hitting 2-3 balls. They also treated the course poorly, I.e. driving the carts on par 3’s, not filling in divots or raking bunkers, etc and disregarding cart signage by driving carts next to all greens (not a handicapped golfer).
Very nice course
This was a very nice course. There is some cart path construction that made it somewhat confusing where to go. Some of the rough is bad. Fairways were well maintained. A couple of rough greens but overall we were very satisfied with the course. Would definitely play here again
Great Value
Great course and one of my favorite layouts for a neighborhood track. One of the best practice areas around. A few bad spots on the greens and fairways, but they roll true and spring will take care of the rest. The beverage cart service is a plus. My only negative is that I have had two different starters rush me through my warm up. I get to the course an hour early to warm up. They tell me in the pro shop I have plenty of time when I purchase balls. To 5 mins later on the practice tee to have my name yelled across the practice tee that I am up. 20 mins before my tee time. I tell them my tee time and that I still need to warm up and get attitude from the starter. Unprofessional of them and they need training. I do this a lot and this is the only place this happens to me. Otherwise great experience
Bent Creek Needs Work
Well here’s my personal assessment of Bent Creek. - Not worth the drive from Trailmark as the course is not in good condition many tees and greens are in rough shape and way too many Quirky holes for my liking. Personally I played fair on front nine and absolutely horrendous on the back nine. The foursome I was in two of us had never played the course before and the other two had played the course regularly but the other two folks (one man and one woman) played the Red tees while I played the Black. While the cost was reasonable it is not enough to encourage me to play there on a regular basis. Took an hour to get there and an hour and twenty minutes to get home. Just not worth it. I would rather play Eagle Landing and Eagle Harbor.
Bent Creek could be great
Very good, challenging layout. But conditioning was sub-par. Greens were slow and a bit beat up. Tees could use some more grass. Cement cart paths broken up in many places.
Good grass range and chipping/putting practice areas.
