Bent Creek Golf Course
About
Since the opening of Bent Creek Golf Course in 1989, the 6,420-yard, par-71 course has provided a challenging golf experience for residents of Northeast Florida and visitors alike.
Crafted by renowned architect Bobby Weed with consulting services by Mark McCumber, Bent Creek's meandering terrain takes golfers through a certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary, towering pines and alongside creeks and swales. The championship layout boasts Bermuda grass greens, plush fairways and a state-of-the-art lighted practice facility - home of the Bent Creek Golf Academy.
From the back tees, Bent Creek carries a rating of 71.6 and a slope of 136. The challenge starts with the first hole, which measures 538 yards from the gold tees, just 20 yards short of No. 15, the longest hole on the golf course.

The conditions are fair or abobe and the pace was also good.
Enjoyed a round of golf. I will come again to play with my golf body
Greens Punched
FYI the greens were recently punched and are healing nicely but the ball will take it's own path near the hole. The course conditions are good overall.
Rough conditions
Not the friendliest staff, tee boxes were ok at best, thick cut grass left on fairways, greens aerated, super slow and very bumpy.
Needs new carts
Our first cart was slow from the beginning. It died on the 6th hole. They came out and brought us a gas cart. It was great; until it wasn’t. It died on the 10th hole. It took a little longer to bring another cart. It took us over 41/2 hours to play. I went in clubhouse to ask them about some kind of compensation for our trouble. They said you finished.
Just make sure your cart is working. The course was in good shape.
Nice Course
The Creek is playing like a Private Course. That has to be one of if not the best Public Course in the Jacksonville area. Get out and play it now. Have absolutely no complaints whatsoever.
Perfect Conditions
I have been playing this course for 10+ years and Tee to Green it is in the best condition ever. Congratulations to the grounds crew!
Great Condition
I play most of the Jacksonville public access courses and this one has them all beat right now. Not a blemish on a single green. No thin lies in the fairways. Sand was still needing raked out after all the rain but hey no problem stay out of them till they are lol. Did I mention the best value too.
The course is in excellent condition. The greens are the best they’ve ever been .
Bent Creek COE
The course is in the best shape it’s ever been in. Keep up the good work BC
Improved Since I Last Played
It’s been 5 years at least since I last played here. The greens are much, much better and the fairways and tees are good too. It is a challenging course with all the fairway bunkers that come into play. Lot of local knowledge on where to aim drives. The gentleman in the pro shop was excellent and helpful. Only a couple of negatives…the driving range grass (not the teeing area) was about a foot deep, unsightly, don’t see how they can pick up the range balls. Second, it was 106 degrees heat index and all 4 water coolers on the course were empty (my tee time was around noon). Other than no water, it was a good experience, good layout and in good shape.
