About
Julington Creek Golf Club (previously known as The Champions Club at Julington Creek), designed and owned by PGA Professional Steve Melnyk, offers a retreat to traditional designs of the past. With rolling Bermuda grass fairways wrapped around sparkling lakes and dense woods, the Julington Creek Golf Club offers a challenging but playable experience for the advanced and average golfer.
Since its opening in 1992, the Julington Creek Golf Club has played host to the Hooters Tour Jacksonville Open from 1996 to 1998 and the World Junior Championship Finals in 1997.
The golf course measures 6,908 yards from the gold tees. The longest hole is No. 14 at 566 yards. Champions has a rating of 72.4 and a slope of 127.

Nice golf course.
Greens and fairways were hard and fast. The greens rolled turn and we had a very nice time.

Julington Creek
Nice course with very friendly staff. The starter is very accommodating for getting you started on time and even early if he can work you in. Greens were in good shape and most of the fairways were too.

Strong Course - "19th Hole" needs help
The course layout and conditions were great, definitely in the top 80% that I have played in Florida. They need to put some hot dogs/hamburgers and fries into the clubhouse, the handmade sandwiches do not make EVERYONE happy. It is a nice place, but add a little something extra.

Course is well built, friendly bunkwrs give an easy out for a good game. Tight spaces. Too many houses and dead flora. Greens need work

Nice course for the money
Julington Creek is a nice course for the price. The staff was very friendly. The greens were not very fast, but rolled true. There was a good variety of holes - some doglegs, some straight away, a short driveable Par 4.

First and LAST time for us
We booked a 1;30 pm tee-time Friday evening for Saturday afternoon. At that time nearly every tee-time was available for Saturday from open/close. I double checked late Saturday morning to see how full the course would be.
When booking my tee-time I should have noticed a red flag being as their tee-times are 9 minutes apart...wow!
When we got the course we were told they were out of carts and we would have to wait for the next players to finish... that's a bad sign too. If you book your tee-times so condensed that your run out of carts that makes for a very poor pace of play -- and it did.
The course was decent, the greens were in great shape. Between the tee-box and greens the grass was in moderate shape, not bad but nothing special. I wouldn't complain about the conditions but I wouldn't go home and praise them or suggest anyone go out of their way to make it out there.
I will not play here again given managements priority to squeeze as many players as possible on the course. Time is valuable and a round is simply not worth it for those conditions at any price. Certainly not at $35 with as many courses as north Florida has to offer.

Impressed!
I've been playing here occasionally for over 30 years and this is the best shape I've ever seen it in, especially the greens. They were a little slow compared to some other courses in the area but they were beautiful and rolled true!
