No marshalling of the course
My wife and I were behind a foursome that were not good.Never once did they ask if we wanted to play thru. A threesome behind us jumped both of us to move at a faster pace. Our round took 4 hrs and 45 minutes. .The greens/pins we're not player friendly as advertised. Never will we play it again.
Terrible condition
Course was in terrible condition. Didn't have any food after. Definitely over priced, I'm guessing that is why the pace was good, no body was there.
lacking fairway grass
front 9 fairways very little grass tight lies. back 9 fairways much better. greens ok.
Playing Julington Creek
Tees and fairways were playable, greens were good. Course has a lot of tree trouble, and enough water to challenge you.
Fun Course Great Staff
Only had one week of warmer weather so the fairways still have some firm dead spots but are almost there. Greens are nice no dead spots would like to see them sped up some, but balls roll true. Really enjoyed the different hole designs the course gives a lot of different looks. The staff was fantastic. The guy in the clubhouse, the girl at the bar, and the cart barn guy all very friendly. If you want a fun challenging course with a great staff and don’t like the stuffy country club feel this is the place. Pace of play was great. Started a little before three on a Saturday and finished 18 before dark.
Fairways were in poor sharp with a serious hardpan issue.Did not enjoy hitting off fairways..
Great course
Great course to play, perfect par 3’s and very challenging par 5’s ... makes for a fun round for sure!!
Cow pasture
It has been a few years since I played Julington Creek. I decided to give it another try, and was very disappointed. The greens are extremely slow. They are not cut very close, and they definitely don’t roll them. The fairways are dormant, and have dead grass clumps that interfere with your lie. If you would like to verify my review, just stop by and take a look at the practice green next to the clubhouse. It is abysmal.
With so many golf courses around, there is no reason to play here. St Johns and South Hampton are far superior courses for nearly the same price.
Great layout , challenging holes!!
Very fun course to play. Typical winter fairways for this time of year but greens in great condition rolled true.
Great time. Not to busy during morning tee time.
Excellent
Tee box to green. Very well managed course. Rate it up there with Osprey Cove. Fairways a little brown but we have had freezing weather so I can’t wait until spring to get my toes in the grass. Go play this course. It’s a must
Nice course
Greens were in great shape and were still pretty fast despite heavy rains the night before.
Old course, premium on driving accuracy; greens overseeded, so a bit fuzzy & slow: in general a good play, will add it to the rotation. Good value for the $. Good staff - courteous & efficient.
Fair to average
Greens and tee boxes weren't in the best shape, layout of the course was fun.
Little Treasure
I play this course almost every weekend. The pro shop staff is great and gets me checked in without delay. The course itself is in great shape. Each hole offers the player many ways to play them. Many of the holes offer a risk-reward approach depending on skill level or how well playing on a particular day. The clubhouses staff is always attentive and increadably nice!! They serve the best hotdog in town (seriously, it’s awesome), burgers, Bloody Mary’s, and many other beverages. They even have Icee’s to beat the Florida heat or bribe your kids so you can get in some practice. If you haven’t played JCGC, you’re missing out on a great day!!
Very Nice Course
The bartender with the ombre hair was magnificent. I believe her name was Alana and her service was impeccable. The outside stuff was also amazing. The young short kid out there was the friendliest person I've ever met and made me feel like I was a VIP at the course I give the bar and the carbarn a 12out of 10 rating. The pro shop was also impeccable service and cannot be touched by any course in this area The course conditions were also wonderful to playing with consistently speedy greens and fairways mimicking Augusta I thought I was a pro I would definitely recommend this course to anybody who loves Golf and loves a great course for a great price Just remember to tip the bartender and cart boys
Too many kids!!!!
Too many families with small children. Under age 10 and a lot around age 5 or 6. Holds up play. If you are learning golf from your father, you are setting yourself up for failure!
