18th Green at Queen's Harbour Photo submitted by mcstanley78 on 08/09/2013
Wonderful greens!
One of the most impressive parts of this course, aside from the wonderful and courteous staff, was the roll and speed of the greens. I wish all greens in the area were in this fine of shape.
Queen's Harbour Yacht & CC
The course was in as good a shape as I've seen it in quite some time. Greens were particularly good and fast. The course layout is always challenging with the water and marsh challenges. Mistakes will often lead to DB's or worse.
Great shape
Everything is in very good shape. The fairways have been scarified but it didn’t impact play.
Poor value for the day of play
It was a beautiful day for golf and the starter told us the course was in great condition which turned to be untrue. The course had just been aerated or scarified and every Fairway was completely scratched up with uneven surfaces impeding the balls ability to roll smoothly and/or land appropriately off drives. I understand course management and needing to upkeep the course; however for the cost of the round ($75) and the conditions, along with the starters misleading "great course condition" comment; it was a poor value for what was received.
Also, $8 cans of beer is steep; country club or not.
Nice start to a vacation
Nice layout, plays tougher than it's slope rating. Would definitely recommend and play again.
Rude
There was no parking available whatsoever. Took over 20 minutes to get a spot. The he course itself was good and in good shape. Pace of play was incredibly slow. 3 hours for the front nine. Realized there was no way I would finish so asked if it would be possible to get a nine hole rain check. Not a big deal I didn’t get it but a big deal how incredibly rude the guy was. Went out and played 2 more holes that took 40minutes and called it a day
Fantastic Shape, but one suggestion
TAKE OUT THE CUP RINGS. Our group had multiple putts lip out because of the hole liner. Either get rid of them or training the staff how to put them in correctly. From my experience, get rid of them!
Thank you for bringing this issue to our attention. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you and appreciate your feedback.
Tough course
This course will test your ability, especially the greens. Not a flat put on the course.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We apologize if the greens were challenging for you, but we appreciate your feedback and hope to see you again soon.
