Heritage Harbor
About
The Heritage Harbor Golf Club measures nearly 7,000 yards from the back tees and is one of the more challenging public course layouts in the Tampa Bay area. Four sets of tees have been incorporated into the design, making the course fun for golfers of all skill levels. The swirling winds and strategically located bunkers will play havoc with the players of these finely manicured links. However, the large greens may provide some relief. The premium on the championship course has been placed mainly on the short game. Winding through natural areas and cypress heads, Heritage Harbor Golf Club offers many scenic, unobstructed views. Seven of the eighteen holes have no homesites adjacent to the fairways, offering great, uncluttered golf.

Nice course, great staff
I've played at HH many times and it never has disappointed me. Course has some challenging holes and is in good shape. Staff is great and always helpful.
Overall fine but needs an active ranger
I play here almost once a week. Greens are good, fairways are good. Maybe 5/18 tee boxes are good, 5/18 are okay and 8/18 are in rough shape. 50/50 chance on pace, probably averages 4 1/2 hours.
Slow play
Need to manage the slow groups. A ranger should have been out keeping pace.
Slowest play ever
Terrible pace of play. Old men 4 some holding up singles and groups like myself with no courtesy play through, just the I don’t care looks and to top it off the starter drove one of the guys out to the 1st hole green that was late in that group. That late guy also played terrible. So If you are going to suck at golf suck faster and keep the game moving and let the people that do know how to play, play through. Awful awful awful. On a good note greens were incredible and that’s about it.
Average course
The course layout is OK. the fairways were extremely thin and barren in some spots. the greens were extremely slow and soft. Not bad for a forty dollar golf course. The pace of play was fast, which was a bonus. There are much better golf courses in the area
Just OK Condition
Great layout, however it needs overall attention, bunkers undefined, fairways bare in spots, lots of weeds in the greens
Understanding playing speed
I've played Heritage Harbor many times and I've come to expect that they stack tee times every 7-10 minutes so I expect to usually play behind a group or having a group playing behind me. Thats normal.
What I didn't expect when I was part of a 4-some that I played with for the first time that one of their players who was hitting balls all over the place would hit errant shots into the fairways of other players 75 yards out of bounds and not only drive the cart into the other fareway but would play that ball adding another 10 minutes to the time the players behind us would have to wait.
After the 9th hole 2 of the players went into the clubhouse while I waiting with the other one of the group at the 10th tee. after 10 minutes of waiting, the group behind us came up and we let them play though. Another 5 minutes past and another 3-some came up.
At this point I had had enough of waiting. I split off asked the 2-some who were not on the green yet on the 10th hole if I could jump to the 11th hole as there was no one on it.
After that I played fast golf from 11-18th hold in less than an hour.
It was great after taking 2 hours to play front 9 and then sitting at clubhouse for 20 minutes waiting for those 2 guys to come back.
Tee boxes and fairways needed some help...water would help them alot...greens were mostly good some weed controll would help...Worked on golf courses for 26 years ..a little tlc would bring this course up a notch...Enjoyed playing here and will come back again....
