Great price for an afternoon round in Florida. Pace of play was excellent. Staff was super friendly. Greens had been aerated recently but still rolled well.
Enjoyed the round
Great course. It’s tight and 90% of the time your feet are above or below the ball. Makes for a challenging game. Course was nice as usual.
Good course to play
I play here fairly often because they have good drainage, especially this time of year. Fairways in good shape, greens were aerated about a week ago, running slick because of sand.
wrong time to play here
fairly open course, if i knew they just aerated the greens would have played somewhere else.
Not worth the money and time
Instead of discounted price I was told on phone, I was charged full price. The carts breaks are a potential disaster. The greens were aerated which I didn’t know about. It changed the dynamics of the pleasant experience.
Experience sucked at the course with the potential to be a superb course.
Poor Decisions by Management
I actually really enjoy(ed) this course. The layout is challenging and it forces you to play strategically and keep the ball straight. The course is typically in average condition and the greens roll pretty nicely.
I've been playing early tee times on weekdays and it's been great. My buddy and I typically finish in under 3 hours.
Last time we played they let some "members" go off on the back 9 in front of us. This is extremely frustrating as the main reason for paying for an early tee time is to be able to play fast. I brought this up to the clubhouse attendant and he said there was nothing he could do.
Management like this is why this course barely has enough money to keep the course in average condition. Not sure if i'll be back.
The golf course pro
In the pro shop had a 100% great attitude Real good guy understood our frustration what happened on this day Course is in great shape but the problem is if you want to play with a woman’s group behind you at that plays a par 4 from 190 yards And your at 424 it ruins your day when they are teeing off 10 yards behind you have you played a round in three hours and 45 minutes and all they’re doing is complaining to staff on the course that’s what you have out there all retirees that are just abusing the course and Exercising shouldn’t even be on the course 100% that would even rock at our country club You got a cart lady that comes up to us and tell us we’re holding up 14 groups the guy in the pro shop says you guys are playing 100% on time we played in three hours and 45 minutes sorry to hold up her friends back there that shoot a 62 from 2000 yards I’m sure there’s good people out there with good attitudes but there’s people like that that ruin your day or even want to come back out there I never had a senior lady hit into me before lol But if we hit into them that would be a problem
Take John to Baytree
Course is probably best condition of any in Brevard County. Green and Fairways in great shape.
Baytree is where we play most often.
Baytree is in our backyard, and very convenient for us to access. It’s well maintained and challenging enough. We enjoy the nature around the course as well!
Nice layout - excellent greens
FYI- I have a 13.1 handicap index. The course is suffering from the drought, especially the rough which is non-existent. This is good and bad because it is easy to play from but the mounds that frame most of the fairways have no grass to keep errant shots from rolling into hazards. Also on some holes you could roll through the fairways if you weren’t familiar with the course.
Fairways were firm , fast and tight. Layout was nice but some tricked up holes. Greens were firm and fast. Because of this they rolled very true, unlike most bermuda greens in FL
For the hotdeal price of $25, I would play it again. If you like firm and fast greens, tight firm fairways and no rough, you will like this course. If you are looking for a lush golfcourse with soft greens, go elsewhere.
As this was my first time playing Baytree, I was pleasantly surprised with the course conditions. The fairways are in great shape, even though there has been no rain for several weeks. And the greens are in very good shape and putt very true. The layout is challenging, and can be really challenging for the golfer who sprays the ball. It is not too extreme, just look at the hole layout and hazard location prior to making your shot, as bunkers and water come into play in strategic locations on many holes. Overall, I had a really positive experience and will go back many times to play this wonderful course.
BAYTREE a gem!
I love the layout. The course meanders through natural forests and houses. Unfortunately the bar and kitchen only open up after 9am.
Friendly staff and a well stocked pro shop.
