Pace of play plague
First day of nice weather after 2 days of drizzle and 50 degree weather. The course was jammed worked on a 5 1/2 hour round, ranger was embarrassed nothing he could do but apologize, Mariott organization should be mindful that this would occur and space out the groups and not book as many groups to manage the time of play. But I guess it's about the bottom line. The positive is the management gave a voucher for another nine holes. P
Great layout.
Highly recommend playing this course. The difficulty level builds as go through the front nine. Back nine is challenging.
A very enjoyable course
My wife and I played this course and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We are recreational golfers and found the course and facilities to be very good. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the course conditions were very good. Definitely recommend the course.
Great Experience
Good course layout, lots of green grass and not a blade out of place. Sort of expensive but there may be packages that mitigate the expense. Best course that we played in Orlando.
elad golfer
The course was somewhat challenging, lot of sand and the grass around the green provided a degree of frustration in locating my ball and the ball tended to sink into the grass making for a difficult chip shot. The greens and fairways were in great shape.
nice layout and design around all the condos
WAS PAIRED WITH A LOCAL AND A VISITOR FROM JAPAN....WAS HANDY THAT WE HAD LOCAL KNOWLEDGE FROM SOMEONE,,,,EVERYONE HAD A GOOD TEMPERMENT AND EVERYONE ENJOYED THE ROUND,,,,,WE WERE PRETTY WELL BALANCED IN HANDICAP AND THIS MADE THE ROUND MORE ENJOYABLE.....WILL TRY TO PLAY IT AGAIN THE NEXT TIME WE ARE DOWN THERE IN THE AREA....
“Outstanding layout with great greens, close to Seaworld”
Easy location on iDrive, about 1 mile south of Sea World. Great track, lots of variety, a good test but very fair. Conditioning and greens were excellent. Grass driving range with warm-up bucket included and large practice putting green. Carts are equipped with GPS, distance and warnings to assist in making informed decisions on every shot which helped improve the pace of play.
Great stuff - but only for advanced golfers
don't get me wrong, but a 20-handicapper won't have fun on this fantastic golf course. If your hcp. is bellow 10 and you know from wich tees to play, this is the course to visit here in Orlando. The difficulty is some tight fairways and the well protected and undulated greens. If you miss the green on the wrong side - no bueno - ola bogey!!!
have fun - go play!!!
Awesome golf course
Accessibility to Disneyworld is awesome. Will definitely play this course again.
The course tends to EAT up golf balls.

Great green conditions.
Fun, deep bunkers.
This course is great for all handicaps
I have played about a dozen Florida golf courses in the Grande Pines price range. This course is my favorite.
stay away during over seeding
teed off at 7:30 no greens mowed due to over seeding not explained when paying, #1 & #10 watered heavily (swampy). Paid $90 not worth $45
the course is fun to play and green are challenging
We like the design of the course but the undulating greens were too challenging for the average golfer. The overall golfing day was great. My partner finished with a birdie at the 18 which is quite an accomplishement!
Played better for the money
Quite an expensive course, but no wow factor here. Hawks landing and all Disney courses much better.
Solid resort course
Staff was great on keeping you on pace and starting on time. Greens rolled great. Rough currently being grown out for winter. Bunkers weren't the greatest but it did just rain. Overall, great course.
US Open rough around the greens
In decent shape, but had some bare patches on tee boxes and a few greens. What's with the US open rough around greens? Nothing like hitting shots 5-10 feet off greens and barely seeing the top of your ball because its so deep in the rough. And this is on every hole. Not fun for amateurs or fair. Need to change that for me to return.
Always good
Had interesting round of golf as it was very windy and the person they paired me up with could only make it through 9 holes. We had twosome that let us in front of them and then proceeded to hit down on while we were still in the fairway. Once I hit the back 9 solo twosome in front of me had no desire for me to join up with them and kept me waiting the rest of the round. Course was in good shape and nice to see the GPSs finally back in the carts.
Practice range a joke
Course had not fully filled in from overseeding so it was a bit unfair to judge. Greens were very slow. Ranger on duty monitoring the pace of play which was good. Course is well run and very organized/courteous. Price included a bag of range balls, however, one gripe was that public players like myself were assigned to a small hitting area (not the main larger area that was obviously being used for lessons). We had to wait until bays became available as it could only fit 6 or 7. When a bay freed up it was a mess. No grass whatsoever, and one's feet just sank into the sand. This is why I am only giving it 3 stars. The course itself is well laid out and challenging, placing a premium on good driving. Heavily bunkered greens.
Definite replay !
Found a good deal and was a really glad I played this course. Some very challenging holes, and they are all appealing and different. Really enjoyed it, course was in awesome shape for mid November especially from tee to green.
