Twin Rivers is a good, challenging golf course that is reasonably priced . If you haven't played it' get a Hot deal on Golf Now and try it.
This course is challenging. Narrow fairways, lots of water and trees.
First nine holes were slow and the soil was very damp due to rain. The back nine was dryer.
So much potential
Have played this course multiple times as its one of the closest to me. One of the more challenging and interesting courses in the area. Layout is awesome, plenty of doglegs, bunkers, and hazards to watch out for. Greens and tees usually in great shape. Really has the potential to be the premier course in northeast Orlando. Where this course lacks time and time again is drainage. It is always soggy (I know it's summer in FL but still). If you're not on the fairway you're in the mud. Even on the fairway lots of cart tracks and muddy divots. Pace is slow, average around 5 hours unless you are first to the tee. Popular spot for good reason. I usually take visiting friends here who have never been as it's one of the better ones east of Orlando, but still not really a great value.
Nice greens but that’s all
Anyone saying that Twin Rivers has improved 100% is delusional. The only thing that is marginally better are the greens and the traps. They are better than they used to be. The rest of the course is still awful. The fairways were torn up with huge wheel ruts everywhere. The course had lots of standing water everywhere. Yes, I know we’ve had a lot of rain but this is due to terrible drainage. The course just looks in disarray. I have stayed away from Twin Rivers for years because I have never had a good experience there. Today was no different. 5 1/2 hour round is inexcusable. I think I will scratch this one off my list again.
Not sure if you are from the area or not .. but Oviedo has gotten a considerable amount of rain over the past few months leading to the wet conditions and unfortunate fairway rutting.
I play this track at least once a week for almost two years, it is in fantastic shape! Has had a chance to dry out, and the greens still rock!
I would recommend you give it another shot. Is a great track, the more I play it the more I love it.
Twin Rivers has improved their course 100% with the greens and fairways being well kept and replacing all the bunkers with new sand. It is a very challenging course and when you think you have it down pat, it's easy to make one little draw to the right or left and you are humbled once again. I love the staff there, as well...and the food in the restaurant is heavenly desirable!
Twin Rivers has come a long way.
Always been a nice layout but now the greens and the bunkers are in good condition also so makes for an enjoyable round!
Lots of doglegs
Course was in good shape, greens were nice. Course was very wet and doesn't seem to drain all that well other than that I'd play it again. Front 9 and back 9 are different layouts
Obvious that if it rains, Twins Rivers is wet
It had rained the night before and every hole had standing water on it. I had flown in from NC and wanted to get an early tee time because I knew it was going to be hot that day and it was and humid. The course needed better signs because we wandered around looking for the first tee. To get to the 2nd tee, there was a 14 foot (that is what Denise said it was) along the cart path. There were 4 guys in front of us who appeared to be newbies that took a long time to play (total play time was 5 1/2 hours). With all that said, I look forward to playing the course when it is drier and less standing water. It was still a fun course to play.
Much improved conditions - really nice now
I played this course years ago when they had soccer golf or something going on and the course was run down and poor conditions, just looking to make money however they could. NOW, the course was taken over by the city and put money into the course and it is really awesome, i really enjoyed it. The conditions were super and the green rolled real nice. Played from the Blue tees and it was challenging. You have to really manage your distance and shots with the right clubs. Will definitely be playing here a lot more. Nice job town of Oviedo!
Twin Rivers is a challenging layout carved out of the sawgrass hammock of the Little Econ river. Since the city of Oviedo took over the property the conditions have improved dramatically. Bunkers have been completely reworked and fairways are now well maintained. Greens roll well (save a few ball marks) and speed will challenge a good player. Alex and Staff will take good care of you!
Best in the area
Course is in awesome condition from tee to green. Yes it rains a lot in Florida, so yes there will be areas where there is standing water, but it does not get in the way of play. Bring lots of golf balls because you deal with lots of water and tree lines. Great test of your game.
Slow play on weekends
This was the second time I played here on a weekend, once on a Sunday in March and again this past Saturday, both times it took over 5 hours to get through 18 holes. The couple of times I played here on weekdays it was a little slow but never that slow paced. I like the course and the staff is great, so I guess I'll just stay away on the weekends.
Great hot Deal greens roll good, will play course again only for $25 or less. Need to fix the Tee boxes
We were staying near Disneyland or Disney World and we thought this course was close by we didn't realize it was 40 miles away. My mistake. However all things considered it was an enjoyable round we didn't overpay. We felt there should be a little cooler on the card and maybe a GPS unit.
