This place has come back greatly since Oveido took it over.. Love being out in the woods. Not easy at all...would play it more often if the course offered 'single' tee times on golfnow. I have to catch a hot deal that's been partially bought. Mentioned it once but not much interest.
Very good course
Course was air rated another few weeks will be in much better condition
Wicked Fast Greens
Walked 18 holes and was able to really soak in the beauty of this course. Being a former member of Tuskawilla Country Club, this course screams Joe Lee! secluded par threes’ allow you to escape, challenging par 5 let you stripe the fairway, and par 4’s surrounded by nature.
*beware* I saw an absolutely Massive Gator on hole 7, a family of deer, and plenty of birdies ;)
Overall the conditions were superb. 9 out of 10.
the greens may be challenging for a beginner, as they are quick. but oh my do they roll true.
Hats off to the maintenance guys. The starter was a cool asf too.
(would give a 10/10 if they planted more flowers and included more natural color to the par threes and course focal points, but don't it mistaken, this is a nice course)
Not easy...but who likes easy? Great pace of play, great shape except for a couple of greens. Birdied #17 for the first time, so I'm happy!
On the rebound
This course is making a comeback. It was a dump as recently as a few years ago. It is the closest course to my house and I didn't go back for a long time.
Now, It is where I play when I want to test my game and don't feel like breaking 80. This course is challenging and tight. The team has done great work bringing back the course, especially the greens. Keep it up.
I really enjoyed the beauty of this course, but for me it is a little tight and well placed sand traps and plenty of water. I will be going back as one of my go to courses.
Better and Better
Outstanding layout and the conditions are improved with the warmer weather. The layout is never boring. Make a tee time because the one rider per cart rule has made it tougher to get on.
The course has improved so much in the past year. Whoever the groundskeeper is has done a fantastic job. If people would repair ball marks on the green it would be even better. The greens roll true and have decent speed. Ekana/Twin Rivers has always been a challenging course. Definitely worth playing a few times per month.
Twin rivers is great course to enjoy golf. I go there week after week. You won’t be disappointed.
This is one of my favorite courses in Orlando. It has a great and challenging layout. However, greens are patchy and the ball hops a lot on its way to the hole.
Stay away until this Covid-19 issue is behind us.
Have played several different courses the past 5 weeks. All have taken precautions. The only precaution here is the stickers on the ground that are marked 6’. In the pro shop, that are not enforced No noodles or pvc keeping the balls out of the cups. Extra guy behind the counter too close to people. First time was like grand central. Tee times still way too close. Driving range people are on top of each other, they give the teaching pro (who is a bit loud) have the entire range. Waste of space for profit. He doesn’t need that much room. He is loud so it is not like he is far away and can’t hear him. Golf carts did not appear clean. Didn’t see anyone washing down the steering wheels and other areas, strap licks, seats/backs, etc. They are the only course that has you put sand back in the divots (great job for a person early morning) and has rakes in the cart expecting you to rake the traps. They have some rakes in the traps as well. Shingle Creek, Viera East, Eagle Creek, Crooked Cat (OCN) all take those precautions. You don’t need to rake traps. Give yourself a perfect lie in the trap as if it hasn’t been raked. (except is plugged if you need to play by the rules 100% ie single digit handicap). I think that you should get a good lie if some bozo doesn’t rake their stance foot marks as part of the new rules anyway. Nice layout however way too over grown on the back. Wonder where all the greens fees are going? Course is tired, not expecting Augusta, just lose the brown feel you get on the course. Staff seems more stressed out than all the other courses. Maybe because they have so many people playing? They have to work? Most people have taken big pay cuts. Wear a mask so you can protect people...and hide your frown.
Much Improved Twin Rivers
For years this course had been in a decline but the city bought it and has clearly invested in it. The conditions are simply the best I have ever seen them here. The greens are fast and roll well (my only complaint here is that it seems many of the regular players don't fix their ball marks) regardless, they are in much better shape than I can ever remember. They have improved the drainage of the course and bunkers tremendously. The fairways, bunkers and tee boxes are all in great condition as well.
This course is quite challenging in my opinion. While the fairways are not small, much of the rough is lined with dense trees that you can't play out of and there is a lot of water on the course. Be ready to hit the ball well if you want to score well.
I would recommend the course for sure if you're up for a challenge.
Good layout, needs some TLC
The course layout is friendly for the average hitter. It has some great looking holes nestled deep in the woods. It just needs some attention on and around the greens to be 4 star.
