Benign Nicklaus design

A pleasant enough course in good condition, but not one of Jack’s more testing designs.

Grand Haven is a Grand Experience

Played here to close out a weekend of golf with the pals in the Palm Coast area. Definitely the finest course we played of the four. Billy, the Director of Golf, took care of us the entire time and was more than helpful getting our group of 12 out for a great time. Course design is top notch with slight elevation changes fairways that fade into the natural landscape. Greens were fantastic and rolled fast but honest. Not another group in sight and we were able to play at our own pace. Great lunch after the round in the clubhouse with excellent service. Get out here if possible and play one of the better courses in the state of Florida.

One of the BEST courses in the Palm Coast area.

Great course!! Well maintained with only a very few spots that needed some attention. Nicklaus did a beautiful job designing this course. Definitely challenging. Big greens, that putt very true. Well designed bunkers and good use of ponds. Tons of wildlife. Staff was friendly. Would love to play this track every week. Strongly recommended.

Enjoyable course to play

First time playing Grand Haven, course was recommended by another Golfnow Customer that I had the privileged of playing with at LPGA. He informed me the course use to be private and is now open to the public. I enjoyed the course and found it some what moderate to play. They have one interesting par 3 that is very deceiving, because it is surrounded by a horseshoe of water. You don't realize their is water on the backside of the green until you reach the green. The course is in great shape and slower groups are very courteous to let you play through. Topography of the course is nice because on one of the holes it looks like you are right next to the Intercoastal waterway. I will be playing Grand Haven again, and I've already recommended it to several other golphers.

Play it

Must play, terrific course.........usually afternoon tee times and the bar closes early like 5 or so. So no 19th hole storytelling. But it is worth a trip to play.

As expected

I had been looking forward to playing this Nicklaus Signature course for quite some time, I was not disappointed. I rate the course as maintained-plus, not quite pristine but very nice. as expected the greens were very quick and had very subtle breaks. From the tee to the green it was moderately challenging, as long as you hit your ball in the short grass. around the greens the challenge builds. very well placed traps, great sand, and a little wind makes this a very good choice for any player level. The island green par 3 is exceptionally nice. Some forced carry over wetlands. The course has enough yardage for even the biggest bomber. But length does not assure a good score, important to hit it in the right approach location. If you are in this area, go try Grand Haven.

Great look. Fits the eye and the club.

Very well maintained. Holes give you a variety of looks. Lets you play all the clubs and shots you have. Challenging layout, very fair in that it's open but has plenty of trouble to get into with errant shots. Traps, water...etc. Very nice green complexes that make for fun hole locations. Greens make you work. No let up. Roll extremely well. Saw wild turkeys, 4 or 5 deer snooping the rough and woods. And saw the largest cottonmouth I'd ever want to see. Adds to the flavor of the day. Should be on any ones list if there in the neighborhood. I have played a lot of well known places and don't mind saying, you won't be sorry to spend a few hours at Grand Haven.

An excellent first impression.

I hate that I lived within a couple of miles of this course for over a year without playing it. With a limited number of tee times available to the general public, I was excited to be able to get on with just an hour's notice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The course itself was in very nice shape in spite of recent rainy weather. Forced carries were not overwhelming from the silver tees. I look forward to returning.

Perfect Greens

While I do not reside in Florida on a permanent basis, I belong to another local, private course in the Palm Coast area when I visit my second home. After playing Grand Haven, I wouldn't mind switching over. I play my home course and the LPGA courses frequently, and really like their greens; however, Grand Haven beats them all. I can't say enough about the pristine conditions. Staff were also nice and cordial. 5 stars!

At GolfNow prices: a great value

Very enjoyable.Well maintained. Front nine more recently
aerated (2 wks?) made it more difficult to judge speed. Water and wet lands demand some carry on tee shots, but not insurmountable. Lots of choices on tee boxes to get the right distance from the tees.

Enjoyable Nicklaus course

Jack has several interesting holes here. The landing areas are fair off the tee. Approach shots require thought. Greens are Bermuda and putts must be firm.

Great course for the price, pace of play excellent!

We play here often and it is always a treat. Had a little snaffu getting started today with cargo pockets on some shorts but overcame it and had a nice time. This is a must play when in the Palm Coast, very well maintained course with a cordial staff.
