Great time
Started on Blue and finished on the White course. It was a great time and really enjoyed it with my brothers.
The Farm
Overall good condition. This seems to be the last course on their list of priorities but still fun to play. No snack bar for the turn and no facilitities for the ladies....
A nice course for the value. I understand that it’s under new management so I’m hoping to see improvement with certain amenities. The cart paths desperately need repair and the tee boxes need attention due to firmness. Overall, a good course and fun to play.
Fun course, great price
Played on a Thursday afternoon and only took about 2 hours and 10 minutes. Course was in great shape and quite firm without being too burnt or dry. Will be back again soon
Great course!
Roughs were ROUGH. Had to let three groups play through but no biggie. Otherwise awesome place to go.
Too many blind tee shots
Besides that, the course was wonderful. Very well maintained, fast undulating greens.
Worst Conditions I have had here
I have never seen this course in such rough shape. Very disappointed in it. I brought my Father in law, wife and son out and I was very disappointed in how awful the fairways were. Fairways had strips of grass and strips of bald spots up and down every fairway. Some fairways looked like they hadn't been mowed in weeks. Many times you were searching for decent grass to hit off of instead of weeds or dirt. Greens were soft and slow. I am not sure what happened but this course used to be in great condition
Confusing but Beautiful
If you want to play a course that is not difficult and easy to find your slice/hooked ball, this is the course for you.
Pros -
Beautiful course to walk if my knees were better.
Well maintained course, very pretty.
Bar cart comes to you twice with great service.
Cons-
Course "manager" is very rude and nasty.
No restrooms on the course.
No ball washers on course.
Some of the greens where very fast and others slow. (but they were well maintained.
Location of the first hole, relative to getting your cart is odd.
Finishing 18 hole is far from the club house.
Rockland
Always love playing this course as it is never crowded like the other Shenadoah courses. Good shape and good challenge.
Memorial Day Round
This is the old Bowling Green south course. The course itself is in great condition. Not as well kept as their other courses but still very enjoyable. No wait today and we were able to play at our normal pace. Greens were challenging and the fairways were nice.
Amazing day on the course
Played the Friday of Memorial Day weekend. Blue/White course had a charity shotgun event so we started on Red. Everything was freshly cut and very green. We teed off early between two other twosomes, but we never had to wait to hit and we’re never pushed. Front 9 was done in a record 83 minutes! At the turn we were given the option of playing Red again or waiting a few minutes for the tournament to finish. After a 15 min cold beverage break on the patio we teed off on Blue. For the back nine we never ran into another golfer and the course was in the same great condition. We are looking forward to coming back soon!
Terrible Management
New ownership/management has let a hidden gem spoil and begin to wither away. This course, under previous ownership, was great….terrific experience, above average course conditions, professional staff, and EASILY the best course in the area. Now that they have been purchased by Shenendoah Valley, a shell of what it once was remains. Just walking in the new clubhouse and dealing with the current staff will tell you all you need to know about how poorly this place is being handled. Not worth your time playing any of these courses…just drive a couple miles down the road for Sly Fox or Blue Ridge Shadows…don’t waste your time here.
Great course for the price.
Played a 3pm round on a Thursday and had very few people on the course. Beautiful scenery, solid Course conditions, excellent green speeds and a good price. Will be back again.
