Dayton Valley Golf Club
About
Dayton Valley Golf Club is an Arnold Palmer Signature design that has been a PGA Tour Qualifier course since 1995, making it the longest standing site in the country. The course is surrounded by the Sierra Nevada Mountains and stretches across the valley below. The rolling, links-style layout features sculpted fairways and large, undulating greens. You may find yourself faced with a tough lie even after a good shot. It's a challenging test with plenty of water and strategically placed bunkers coming into play throughout. Careful shot placement is especially important on the water holes at Dayton Valley G.C. The most difficult hole on the golf course is the par-4 ninth. It's a lengthy dogleg left with water down along the entire left side of the fairway and short and right of the green. On your approach, hitting left of the green you'll find heavy rough or pot bunkers.

Perfect day
My wife and I had a 7:40 tee time. The fairway and greens were pretty wet from the irrigation on the first few holes. After that it was a beautiful course that was very well maintained. We loved the “moguls” and open fairways that are perfect for our game. Their was plenty of water and sand traps to navigate, but easy enough to avoid unless you really spray a shot. Wish we could get another early tee time to beat the heat before we head back east. Would definitely play here again when back in town.

8/2/2021 Golf Day at Dayton Valley
Another great day at Dayton Valley! Met the new owner who talked about his past as a golf pro and his purchase of Dayton Valley. Good Luck and all the best of success at Dayton Valley.
Texas golfer
This is one of our regular stops every year. Course is one of the best in Carson Valley. In excellent condition. . We’ll be back again next summer.
Much better than prior visits
I had played Dayton Valley several times in the past and each time it was miserable, from dust storms to overly windy, to bad course conditions, but this time I was delightfully surprised. The course was beautiful, greens were true and fair, tee boxes were nice. I will be going back.
I not worth the drive definitely overrated
Replay today and it’s a decent cars but nowhere near as 4.5 rating I think it’s more like a 3.5 if you live in the neighborhood and it’s close sure go for it. But we drove almost an hour to get there because of the rating and it’s just not worth it
Fun golf course
Windy day but pace of play was great. Course is good shape but the greens had sand on them but rolled pretty smooth. The greens will be really good in about a week or two!
Fun course but slow
Super slow pace of play. Never saw the cart girl once. It was a long, hot, thirsty afternoon. Course was in good shape. Very fast greens.
Best Course in NV for the Money
Dayton Valley is an exceptional golf course. Arnold Palmer design. Many lakes. Outstanding value and for good reason. It is not in the middle of the city. You will have to commute to this location. About 15 miles from Carson City and 30 from South Reno, but it is worth the time it takes. I believe Dayton Valley is the best course for the money in the State of Nevada.
