Good golf day
Great course for the price! Despite Cart path only restriction...due to over seeding, course was in decent to good shape. Pace of play was good to. Bunkers were muddy or to hard. Overall..... good
I played the course today. At no time during my check in was I informed the course had been dried out and the fairways had been thatched. This was found out while I was on the course. I was disappointed. If I had been informed either by notification on Golfnow or when I was checking in , I would have reconsidered playing this course. I come to this area 1 time per yr and was unhappy. I will reconsider if am to play it again on my next visit.
Clumps of grass everywhere
The course has just been "close cut" and the dried grass is laying in clumps all over the fairways. Most of the greens are in pretty good shape but there are areas approaching the greens that have no grass and are rock hard and bumpy. The sand traps are like cement. This is not a good place to play right now.
Ready for aeration
Course is in good shape. Ready to be over seeded and aerated. Tee boxes and greens are still in great shape. Fairways are mown down and have been ‘browned out’. Still fine to hit off, very few dirt patches. Carts with GPS. Most holes fairly wide open without a lot of trouble with errant shots. Par 3’s are tough, with water carries.
Overall a good deal with a Hot Rate. Will come back to play again when the course has greened up.
Good but dry
First time seeing this course. I’m low handicap and played back tees. I was actually impressed. I was expecting the greens to be as brown as the fairways but they were not. They were healthy, green, and smooth. The rest of the course is burnt out as are most courses in Vegas this time of year. I will definitely return when it’s cooler and greened up. Nice track.
Great Golf Course. People there or very nice and it is a great place to play golf. Practice facilities are very good. And the course is in good shape.
Straightforward course. Good value
Got a great rate from Golf Now. The course layout is longer and straight. There are a handful of holes with water. All of the employees were nice. Marshal was present to monitor pace. Having to pay for a small warm up bucket is 100% Bush League. I'll keep playing if the rates are good.
The staff are helpful and friendly. Thanks for a fun day at your golf course. Will play again ......
Course condition is slipping again
Let me preface this by saying that I have played this course multiple times over the past several years, and I really like the course layout. You can play it as easy or demanding, depending what tees you use. HOWEVER...
The course conditions are very poor right now. I realize that the greens have been aerated, but that doesn't explain the general browning of several greens. The fairways have also become marginal in many areas. It's a shame, because when conditions are good, it is a real joy to play, and the staff have always been unfailingly polite and courteous.
I paid $21 to play, which is probably about what it is worth right now. I hope conditions improve, but I don't hold out much hope since we are just coming into the real hot months of summer.
First time playing
Course was great even under a water drought, staff very friendly for what I needed, the guard at security started me off with a friendly welcome made me feel great being here. Had no issues with anything, would love to play it again if I ever come back to Vegas.
Great Value 18 Hole Course
Besides the slow play from the party in front of us, the course was a nice find. Non-resident fees were not outrageous and very reasonable .
You get what you pay for
Stallion Mountain was a decent course, and the amount paid reflects what you get. Note, range balls are not included in the Golfnow rate. Fairways had some bare spots, but the greens were in pretty good shape, but slow. A fair value for the money.
Can't all for it all
The only bad thing is I wish courses would tell you the greens have been aerated or the booking app but that would be adding for to much the lay out wad awesome but the greens were really slow and bumpy
